lobby and staff were excellent. room was clean but the floor was worn, really worn. breakfast was very good. the supper was too once the restaurant opened. i found the cheese burger and fries pricey at $50.00 cdn with tip.but the meal of the day was so good at $19.00 swiss francs. i found the hotel to be further away from downtown than what it looked like from the map, and why my review is lower..would i stay again? maybe

Staff was great, however under difficult conditions: they could not accommodate the guest car at the entrance, even though it was pouring rain. They had to repair the bed falling apart during the night, even though there was just one person sleeping on it. The shower was alternating hot and cold water due to improper plumbing - nothing could be fixed on the spot, hence the client had to carefully avoid hot shots to fend off from burning.

Really good facilities. Clean and well presented. Staff were excellent and willing to speak French or English (and probably more) - even though my French is poor. That's nice for someone learning the language. There were two spaces to put luggage - rather than the normal one space. Very welcome. Good minibar. Close to everything.

Je n'ai pas aimé qu'il n'y avait pas de prises électriques à disposition près du lit pour brancher l'ordinateur portable et recharger les téléphones, Que le personnel n'était pas informé que l'hôtel est partenaire de l'entreprise Wee, et que nous n'avons pas pu dormir en raison du bruit de la soirée donnée dans l'hôtel.

Très bon hôtel

Nous sommes restés à l'hôtel 1 nuit. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour. Nous nous attendions à des chambres un peu plus luxueuses toutefois elles sont spacieuses et propres. La literie est bonne. La salle de bain était assez petite mais fonctionnelle. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil du personnel et le restaurant de l'hôtel (aussi bien le service que les plats). L'hôtel est un peu loin du centre-ville mais ce n'est pas impossible d'y aller à pied. Nous retournerons bien volontiers à l'hôtel Vatel. C'est une bonne destination pour une rapide échappée romantique dans le Valais.
