Spent a lovely five days here. Gorgeous beach, perfect weather, water infinitely blue. Our room was really nice (especially after we moved from a beautiful garden-level room that had too much noise from elevator) — large, comfortable, quiet, dark. We slept great. Loved the pool and beach. Went parasailing, snorkeling, sailing. Ate happily at the hotel. Robust complimentary breakfast that kept us full all day. Dinner by the beach at sunset. Impressed with the salads—I’m aware that everything has to be flown in! We had very kind and warm service from Paula. Overall the vibe was relaxed, easy going, a mix of families, couples, friends. There are other resorts designed to keep families entertained, and there are more modern and quiet places for couple getaways. We liked this middle ground. I’ve seen comments about the service, and I’ll say that I always felt like folks were happy to help but not rushing to anticipate your every need, which was absolutely fine by me. I like the more laidback vibe. Note: Prices were very high across the island. Tip: snuggling potcake pups at the animal rescue shop downtown was a highlight!
