We got an upgrade to a Superior Double Room and truly enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, with the bathroom having both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The service of the turn-down team was a plus and we appreciated the way they prepared the room for a restful night.
Having arrived quite late at the hotel we only had time for dinner that evening and didn't get to use the tea room. However, we did look inside and it was lovely. At dinner, the staff was pleasant, especially Lucian, who was very friendly and recommended some great dishes and drinks. We were very happy to find him at breakfast the next morning and he was kind enough to offer us some treats for the road and ideas for sightseeing.
The reception staff was accommodating and booked us spa time for the following morning so we did get to enjoy the facilities. The spa area had a truly unique design with many indoor jacuzzis and one outdoor. Furthermore, multiple saunas and a tropical shower made the experience even more pleasant.
P.S. Do visit Killarney National Park, which is just across the road from the hotel.
