The standard of cleanliness was less than similar priced hotels in Eastbourne. The property is rather shabby inside

Only there for one night. Ashley the receptionist deserves the most praise for his friendly and helpful manner during our stay. He worked his socks off and was always pleasant despite our problem with child crying in one room and dog barking in the opposite room. Hope management see my comments as he was working so many hours from when we arrived,during the night and was there when we were checking out. Done a fab job.

Great value for money, staff wonderful, polite, cheerful and very helpful. Excellent location, directly opposite the beach and about 15 min walk from town centre. i parked about 1 mile away in free parking areas but the walk along the beach towards Beachy Head easily made up for it. Certainly would use it again.

Our expectations were exceeded!!! On our arrival and throughout the staff could not have been more accommodating and polite. We were allocated a sea view which thrilled us and we found the view to be spectacular. Never found an issue parking outside and paid £2 for the parking permit. The room was a very good size, our only criticism was that the floor in the en-suite was in need of repair. We asked for extra pillows and were happily supplied with some. The hotel provided complimentary items at reception and clean towels as required. Covid precautions were evident throughout and face coverings needed in communal areas. This said we were on the top floor and the lift was broken so the 6 flights in a mask was a little uncomfortable for us. We found some excellent places to eat nearby and the Deli shop two streets away was a really good find. We would certainly return and recommend to others.

Sink blocked, room still had clothes from previous guests. carpet very dirty, cutlery unclean. staff were excellent but hotel was just not very clean.

Friendly staff and great location. Very thorough Covid-19 procedures. Received a room upgrade after initial room was not available. Enjoyable stay at a good price.

We had a lovely, spacious,clean twin bedroom with view over the sea front. The bathroom was spacious and very clean but the washbasin in the bathroom is more for a cloackroom as it was rather small with a long beaked tap diping too low. The staff was very welcoming, professional, helpful and obliging. We really enjoyed our short stay at Citrus Hotel.

Omg I have never stayed in such a dirty smelly place as I have when I stayed here. DO NOT GO ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK I wanted to pay by cash and she said she needed a £100 deposit by card??? So I just paid by card and she kept it and only gave me a receipt and not my card to which I did not realise, so she obviously took my card details down without my permission as I only gave to do initial payment for the room. The room they put us in was in the depths of the dungeon dark and smelly, a smell of mould. We had been put in the basement which was like a storage area too. I was unsure if I was in the right area. Upon entering our room the smell was disgusting the room was dirty and not deep cleaned post covid. Every part of that room was dirty, the fridge had mould the kitchen area was dirty the windows dirty and frames black muck around, the carpet was disgusting the bathroom well the plastic on bottom of the glass shower screen was swimming in dirt and germs it was black, round the toilet it was black the floor dirty the hot water did not run right the bathroom door was dirty with run marks everywhere. My daughter wanted to stay in the car it was that bad. I complained about our room and asked to be moved but was told she had nothing, no offer of part refund nothing. To think they had the cheek to ask for a deposit for that dump.

I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, really dirty. Doesn’t look like it had been cleaned or carpets hoovered in months. Found items left in hotel room from previous guests ( paracetamol ). Breakfast was an hour late and when we checked out the guy on reception was rude. Won’t be back
