BOATING INFO:
The nearest public boat landing is 4 minutes away by car. You are more than welcome to bring your own boat, but please keep in mind that McClain is a no wake lake. For full rec fun, the next lake over (Upper Twin) allows wakes between 11am-5pm every day and is accessible through the navigable channel at the top of McClain. Black Iron Grill is accessible via the lake for a delicious meal on days of boating fun.
LOCATION:
Acorn Shores is located on a quiet part of McClain Lake on the Tiger Cat flowage. The navigable channel at the end of McClain Lake takes you to Upper Twin Lake, which is classified as class A musky waters, and is abundant with Musky, Perch, and Bluegill. Or fish right from our new dock for bass and panfish! Trail access is via Gravel Pit Road a half mile away, and leads to 5 other trails, great for snowmobiling and biking!
