Staff were pleasant and friendly. Room and beach was beautiful. Perfect weather. Thanksgiving dinner was good- daughter raved about how moist the turkey was and both daughters loved the pumpkin pie. Wish there were a few more options on menu as we ate at the resort every day. Preordered some groceries and that was a good experience- food was in the room when we arrived. Arranged prior for a rental car and it was delivered to the resort on specified day. Arranged through concierge a taxi to and from the airport and that was an excellent experience. Plenty of towels and chairs for pool and beach. Slightly annoyed with family that brought a motorized “surfboard/skateboard” like thing to use in water- loud and out of place on the beach where nothing else is motorized. Did not notice any loud music at either pool or the beach mentioned in prior reviews.

Sometimes you see the pictures of a hotel or resort on their website and it never lived up to it, but the Grand Isle Resort is not that at all. If anything the photos undersold the property. A very upscale piece of paradise on one of the most beautiful islands on Earth. The private beach is amazing and stocked with free use of sea kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel gear (though supplies are limited and it is first come first serve) beach chairs, umbrellas and it goes on and on. There only thing more impressive than the facility and the island was the gracious, friendly staff. We met a family that their oldest daughter got married at the resort the first day we got there and they said all the same things about the resort as we did. No kidding, the only disappointment was the vacation ending and having to return home to miserable weather. Beyond the resort, the people of Exuma are amazing. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. We explored all over the island and took a full day excursion to swim with the pigs (should be a bucket list for everyone). We always felt very safe and never felt like anyone was trying to rip us off. The only think to consider is that because everything must be shipped in, everything is expensive and the grocery stores have somewhat limited supplies. Other than that, we couldn’t have been more happy with the Grand Isle Resort and Great Exuma!

The menu at the poolside restaurant was greatly reduced from what it was 3 years ago. I'm guessing there was too much overlap with the new upscale restaurant.

Laid back vibe. Needs turn down service, robes, bottles of water.

Beautiful spacious villa! Tastefully decorated. Loved the 23 North Beach club and restaurant.

It is a beautiful property. The room was awesome, covered deck, full kitchen, large tub and separate shower. It's a bit removed from town, restaurants and shops, which was problematic for our off season visit. Only the Palapa restaurant was open all day, the 23deg North was open for dinner, the Beach Shack was closed.

The property was well landscaped and maintained. The rooms are well appointed with luxury flooring and fixtures/appliances. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture was upscale.

This is a great property. The rooms were immaculate and the staff was kind. Sandy Toes restaurant was closed for 6 days and that was a HUGE disappointment. The whole island shuts down in September and October so I would NOT head over to EXUMA then. Overall, great stay!

This is a beautiful resort. The food was super expensive at the resort and it wasn’t the best. The staff wasn’t always nice, we experienced quite a bit of rudeness. The resort closes at 10, and the restaurants close at 9. So if you needed something or was hungry, you had to wait until the next day. The resort is beautiful and is the best on the island.

Place was lovely... nice villa, lovely view, all of the staff was very very nice, friendly and welcoming. We all had a fantastic vacation.
