Cleaners did not do their job
I noticed from the other reviews that our experiences were unfortunately quite similar: 1) When we first arrived to our room, there was a wet and dirty towel dumped in the corner of the bathroom. We just removed it, felt like it is waste of time to complain about it. However, it left us thinking that is the room properly cleaned? 2) We needed to chase the cleaners who just didn't do their job. When we went out there was a cleaner guy who asked if we wanted to get our room cleaned, we said yes please. Later when we came back the room was not cleaned, only the bed was made but all our rubbish were still there and the bathroom was not cleaned. 3) On our second morning in the breakfast we needed to clean up a table to be able to eat there. All those three inconveniences were similar to what I read from other reviews. Seems like the hotel procedure is to neglect cleaning in general. There was also fire alarm ringing twice. The second time was at 11pm in the evening which is quite late. So I would advice the others: stay somewhere else. This was not good value for money and I would like the hotel to contact me and negotiate of the possible refunds. If I have to add something positive, the location was good.

Nice hotel, great location
I was in Auckland during tropical cyclone Gabrielle. Despite likely worried and facing potential problems of their own the staff really never changed - if you hadn't heard or seen the cyclone you wouldn't have known it was happening. Most of Auckland was shut down due to the cyclone, but the hotel was in a very good location and would usually be a good base

Lovely centrally based hotel
Receptionists were welcoming, amicable and helpful. Hotel was centrally based for Auckland and very clean. Breakfast was included and there staff were helpful. Rooms were exceptionally clean and well set out with toilet and shower facilities. Tea and coffee were available in room as well as a safe for valuables. Would definitely recommend this hotel and definitely return!

Convenient CBD hotel
Really convenient location with great value. Bed/pillow could be more comfortable but that's just my preference. Free breakfast was generous and delicious.
