Good Value

Inclusive breakfast was wonderful, great restaurant staff. Roy was lacking lamps. A bit noisy but good value for the money, comfortable bed.

Like cockroaches & sewage smell? Then stay here!

A GIANT cockroach came out of the closet one night and there were baby cockroaches coming out of the tub two other times (see pic). Also what is up with that tub? That repair cannot be sanitary. The water coming out of the shower smelled like burnt popcorn and there’s a smell of sewage outside. The safe didn’t even have any way to close or lock it, even though you’re required to sign something when you first get there saying you’ll use the safe. If you bring a pet, not only do you have to pay, but they give you a ridiculous list of rules, like that the pet can never be alone, so I felt trapped in my hotel room (with the bugs!?). There were beer cans all over the parking lot, but God forbid I let the dog pee on the grass or in the dirt instead of the nasty fake grass dog area that had dead cockroaches in it. The pool was crowded with screaming children and no one was wearing masks, so I didn’t feel comfortable using it. You’re much better off staying down the street at the Fairfield which is nicer, cleaner (no bugs or smell!), they don’t have ridiculous rules for pets (and didn’t charge me anything!), AND you get free breakfast.

This place is great!

I loved my experience here! Everyone is so nice and despite what I read in other reviews, many of the employees did speak English as well as Spanish. The pool is lovely and the beds are so comfortable. AC works great and we loved the food in the restaurant. Two points of improvement- the hot tub is not that nice, it’s a freestanding one and also wasn’t that hot some evenings. Also the water in the shower did not drain that well. Both of these were very small problems and it is well worth staying here despite them. I’ll be back. :)

I loved how there was always a deck chair available and the small nature of the place made it so it was easy to meet other travelers. It is in a very walkable location to several beaches, Walmart and the downtown core and marina. Downside? It was NOISY.
