Very pleasant stay
The El Rancho is unique. It’s an older property from yesteryear that retains the charm while providing modern conveniences. Our room was good. Clean with a comfy bed. The bathroom is very small but adequate. The shower unfortunately was cold in the evening. In the AM it was fine. That was the only downside. Staff was friendly. I really enjoyed sitting in the upper seating area reading the paper over coffee while my wife got a little more sleep. I’d rerun and I recommend it without hesitation.

Awesome historic hotel!
My family, including 2 teenage daughter's, LOVED staying at El Rancho! The decor is phenomenal. We had the John Wayne room and it was delightful. Despite the retro feel in a historic building, it was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the building, looking at all the murals and thephotos of past guests. The trains were noisy, but what do you expect from a historic building?!? We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Historical yet comfortable
The way they kept the historical feel while keeping it just modern enough is amazing. Shower was modern, USB outlets to charge, decorated in old west style. Can't wait to go back.

Nice older hotel on RT66
This was very nice historic hotel on RT66. We loved the lobby with all the pictures of movie stars and celebrities who stayed there in the 30's, 40's' 50's. The rooms are old as to be expected. Bathrooms were a little tight and heat was tricky . We loved the old elevator too. The bar was just OK but restaurant was nice . Just know you are staying at a historic place and don't expect all the modern conveniences . We enjoyed our stay overall .
