...but the smell!
I think someone was cooking in one of the rooms as a very unpleasant food odor permeated the hallway near our room. As we were checking out next morning a family came in from a shopping trip and the ladies at the front desk said something about hoping the family would let them know when the food was ready, indicating to me that family was cooking in the room.

STEAM CLEAN CARPET ON REGULAR BASIS.
The staff were very helpful and nice! However, the rooms but mostly the HALLWAY really had heavy "smoke" and musty odor. I would suggest that you steam clean hallway, at least 1st floor, and also rooms. Staying in a clean air environment is very important. And, having carpet will definitely hold on to this stench.

Average stay.
Everything was average. The person checking me in was okay but gave me her rote introduction in a robotic tone of voice. No smoking, no pets, swimming in pool only for registered guests..........etc. Room was average. Cleanliness was average. Breakfast was average. Nothing special.

Just what we were looking for
We were driving a moving truck and needed a convenient place to stay, this hotel worked out great. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We grabbed some breakfast in the morning and hit the road earlier than we'd planned. The front desk person was helpful and friendly. I do wish they would add donuts to their breakfast options.

I always stay at this motel when I visit family in Indiana. It is convenient, restaurant and shopping close, employees are friendly and the rooms are clean.
