Member of staff incredibly rude! Not the cleanest of hotels also the parking is terrible

commfotuble stay historic hotel dates back msny centuries.Quirky.

Moved rooms due to first room being awful. And next night water came through the ceiling and kept us awake. Went to reception and there was a phone number only which due to bad signal i could not call.

Stayed last year and all was excellent, this year room was ok but coffee splatters on wall behind tmaking facilities a bit dissappointing, shower was either boiling hot or freezing, take out breakfast due to covid really dissapointing, muffins were inedible.

Very comfortable. Would certainly stay again.

What a fantastic surprise! Lovely oldly-wordly village hotel in the centre with plenty amenities nearby. Stayed during Covid-19 crisis so did not eat in. HUGE spacious bedroom, large reception room and my favourite, the bathroom - upgraded old style with massive bath. Stayed in ground floor room in the courtyard area which was totally peaceful and quiet. Parking available in short walk distance

Room was a good size, and clean but the noise from the creaky ceiling and people moving around was shocking! Bathroom wasn't great. The toilet leaked, the shower head needed replacing. Staff were non existent and we helped ourselves to breakfast and left the key with the pile of others at check out

We were originally put in a room around the courtyard which was absolutely filthy. Cobwebs everywhere, just pretty horrible all round. After complaining, were moved to a room in the main hotel. The room was clean but this hotel is just so dated. It is just desperate for an upgrade. The chap on reception was helpful and very pleasant - but why on earth were we put in that room in the first place!

King bed was two singles pushed together. Ridge down the middle was uncomfortable. Room was very much overdue for redecorating and a good clean. Over the window was a section of ceiling repair unpainted and unsightly bare chunk of plasterboard. Noise from room upstairs was thunderous every time the occupants walked about. Quite disappointed did not reflect the price!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the room was a bit tired... needed some modernising. The bathroom could do with a proper checking (mould, limescale, leaking toilet, etc)
