hard to know where to start because my stay wasn’t typical. But the staff and locals took such great care of me i needed to leave a review
Life, in Jamaica, in Covid is tough, but its not actually tough for tourists. Jamaica have taken restrictions seriously. Tourists seem to think that the rules don’t apply to them but a small resorts like this can & will take care of you in a way a large resort can’t.
I made the mistake of reading about peoples experience of larger resorts before coming & was nervous about Covid risk & management & the impact of those factors on travel
Legends bossed it. The staff here are amazing. everyone from reception to bar are masked, airport transfer easy to arrange, well managed, comfortable, punctual & drivers both ways took time to talk about local landmarks, economy and history. Local people are hungry, it’s your responsibility to educate yourself & understand your own impact and the impact of Current and historical factors on the island. if you take the time to do that you will go some way to giving the locals the respect they deserve
Most tourists are rude & entitled & it is really sad to see that this has got even worse in the pandemic. In 48 hours at the worst time of my life legends were helpful and supportive (reception staff amazing) & Norman’s sweet & polite son on half the way back to the airport after my very premature departure following an unexpected family bereavement gave me great comfort & grounded me.
