After checking multiple hotels through hotels.com, I selected Elk country inn seeing the ratings and reviews it has received now in hotels.com.
For the price I paid, it was a very basic hotel room with 2 queen beds in settlers building. Room was very dark(probably their theme), bathroom fixture had rust on them and carpets looked unclean. Whether we kept the temperature in heat or cold mode, room was particularly warm making it sweaty at night. The building/room was definitely old with long due maintenance.
I can understand that location is Jackson and one is paying for that, but still it was not worth the money charged. While checking in, the lady at reception was not very welcoming . So I didn’t feel like asking for another room or option.
Now good part.
Bed/linens looked clean. Breakfast had good hot options and they were serving hot chocolate which was good.
Very near to broadway, while not in middle of all hustle bustle.
