I was disappointed no cooked breakfast. Continental breakfast things provided but no table and chairs so had to eat croissant perched on end of bed. No where to spread butter on croissant.

So laid back!
So laid back! Come and go as you please with no reception to walk through. Room is in a house at back of the pub. Given keys to enter house and room. Great location.

One Night Stop-Over
Nice room with a good continental breakfast. Staff really friendly and the pizza was really good (but food only on Monday nights, I believe). Love the parrot, by the way!

OK but not great
The accommodation was in the building pictured (not in the pub). No issue there, to be honest! The pub was not serving food because of lack of staff. I had to either go somewhere else or get a take-away, which the pub staff were happy for me to eat there. I guess you could say I was paying for B&B so I can't really complain there. Breakfast was continental, which was pre-prepared and left in the bedroom before my stay. The only niggle there is that there's a fridge in the room which made a low-pitched humming noise - that kept me awake. For the price I guess it was OK but not what I was expecting.

Excellent service from check in to check out. Staff and facilities were extremely friendly and helpful. Was no food available on the thursday due to their Open Mic night, but found a lovely pub in Tring for food and returned to be entertained at the Open Mic night. Thanks to David and his staff for making me very welcome.
