Beats trying to sleep at the airport overnight.
We had a 12 hour layover in Detroit and decided to book a hotel room near hotel rather than stay at airport overnight.
Our decision didn't start well, getting bad instructions from 3 different people where to wait for the hotel shuttle. After eventually finding the correct location we waited (in the cold) for over an hour for a shuttle to arrive. When we got to the hotel a couple (2 hours after landing) we waited in line to check in, a lengthy process compared with other hotel checkins. During check-in we were charged a $50 damage deposit for each room, even though we paid for the rooms in advance thru the Hotels.com app. We are still waiting for refunds to our credit cards for the damage deposits. First time this has happened with Hotels.com booking....not happy.
The rooms were older & tired, floor felt soft walking in to both rooms... like it might break thru.
On a positive note the rooms were clean and quiet, beds were comfortable
and the shuttle got us back to the airport in plenty of time to catch our flight next morning.
We would stay here again if necessary but would shop around for alternatives first.

Dated hotel.. Blanket dirty , broken chair.. Hair in tub... I'm a simple guy so I don't complain much a tad bit better clean and I'd stay again
