Funny smells in the elevators. My room had a broken lamp with the light bulb hanging down while still in the socket and was still plugged in. The lamp shades were cracking and breaking. There was still dirty walls on in the shower.

It was ok stay people next store where noisy and their dog kept barking. The rooms where clean i like that good location to food places.

Check-in was fine and I believe it was the manager who helped us with that. She was friendly and inviting. The room was run-down, but clean. Where we had a problem was around midnight when our toilet backed up. We called the front desk and the college age girl seemed to have no clue what to do. My husband asked for a plunger at least to see if he could get the toilet working. That took a few minutes, but no big deal. The plunger didn't work. He called the front desk back. The girl said she would have to call their off-site maintenance people and that they wouldn't be there until the next morning. We said fine, but in the meantime we needed a room with a working bathroom now. She said that she couldn't switch us because there were no other rooms with a King bed available. My husband said that was fine, to switch us to a room with a queen or 2 queen beds. She said she couldn't do that because that wasn't what we had paid for. My husband reminded her that we had paid for a room with a King size bed with a working toilet and we needed a room with a working toilet. She just kept arguing and said she would call maintenance again. Maintenance showed up 20 minutes later, banging on the door. He didn't say a word, just pushed past my husband into the bathroom. I believe he snaked the toilet and fixed the problem and left, slamming the door, again without saying a word to us. This all ended about 1:15-1:30 in the morning. Breakfast was waffles with expired yogurts and mushy apples.

Comfortable rooms and a decent breakfast. The staff is very attentive, which is a big plus. The hallways and carpets need more care, and the hotel could use some updates. Still, it’s a convenient and solid option for an overnight stay before flying, especially given its proximity to the airport.
