old hotel that looks old. stairways stink. bathtub drain plugged and would not drain in two days. if you have a choice avoid this one.

They allowed someone to walk into my room and harass me

Everything was great except for the $30 a day parking that was not included with the hotel, however, I think this is more of a Waikiki issue than a hotel issue

The hotel's location was easily the best part, as it was one block from Waikiki Beach. The musubi shop on the ground floor was amazing! We had the kitchenette studio, and it was plenty spacious. However, the place is a tad dilapidated: paint is peeling inside the shower, the place shows clear signs of "handy man specials" all over the place (where repairs and installations are done to "good enough" standards but not visually appealing), and we had to trip the power outlet twice before the coffee pot would work. Speaking of coffee pot, the hotel provides you with coffee packs that are made for 2-cup small brewers, but they give you a giant Mr. Coffee. The TV

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Upgraded roomed but not updated. Bare minimum in kitchen and extras. Located in heart of city. Parking off site.

Would have rather paid a little more for a nicer hotel that included parking then paying $30/night for parking. Hotel is in a good location though.

The room was very outdated, the A/C leaked all over the lanai floor, all the furniture was cheap and did not match. The couch was stained. Popcorn ceiling is just depressing. The "ocean view" that I paid dearly for was mostly a view of another big hotel, with peeks of the ocean on either side, and mostly parking lots and construction to look at. The carpets in the halls and on the way up to the pool were dirty and smelled like mold.

Visited during Covid, the staff was fantastic, the room older but clean. Kitchen equipped enough to make due. We did not get daily service but we able to ask for towels anytime. The only drawback was someone smoking in a “private” room below us and no smoking rules do not apply to them so our unit was always full of smoke. Aside from that we enjoyed our stay. Easy walking to beach and restaurants. And again, the staff were fantastic! Thank you!

We recommend Pacific Monarch Hotel to anyone visiting Waikiki, Honolulu Hawaii for food beach and surf boarding experience. The hotel is amazingly clean and the staff very pleasant. It is also located 4 minutes from the beach and 8 minutes from the biggest shopping mall in Honolulu!
