This is a solid hotel. It was very clean, quiet, and the concierge service was very helpful. The AC was ice cold which was needed because Tulum is hot and humid. The dinner food at the rooftop restaurant is second to none.

Really loved staying here. Looks like there’s is a restaurant being built on the roof top too. Will definitely be staying here again. Very clean, beautiful design all around the hotel, the staff is amazing and helpful.

Good for the price... quiet no music in the Pool, great rooms but mine had a bad odor coming from the bathroom or sinks who knows.

Some staff were great some staff were rude and condescending. Overall I would not Recommend this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at the Kimpton Aluna for our honeymoon in Tulum. From the second we arrived we were greeted by amazing staff and felt welcomed. Our room was spacious and clean. The whole facility felt tranquil and beautiful. Our entire experience at the hotel was top notch from valet, to our Covid testing (due to US requirements for our return), to our daily morning coffee at their on-site restaurant. The location also worked well for us since we didn’t want to be in the hustle and bustle of the hotel zone (zona hotelera) but still be close enough to drive to and from some of our daily reservations/activities. It is located right at the entrance to a newly developed area called Aldea Zama. We definitely recommend the Kimpton Aluna and hope to return on our next visit to Tulum.

I apparently stayed opening week at this hotel. It’s nice, and has the elite Kimpton feel, but the service just isn’t yet up to the standards I’d expect from a Kimpton: - we booked a king bed but got two full size / queens - there was no room service menu or QR code in the room, I had to call three times before I got it. - one day we asked room service to clean the room later in the day (3pm), but it never got done. - we called for extra towels and they never appeared, at that point I didn’t feel like calling again. If this wasn’t a Kimpton hotel, I’d let a lot of this pass, but I thought the entire idea of Kimpton was their attention to this type of detail. Let’s hope they straighten things out.
