Wow. I had only stayed at the Sofitel in London's Heathrow T-5 before. This Sofitel was nothing short of magnificent. The location, basically on Berlin's best shopping street (Kurfurstendamm (also known as K Damm) was perfect. Right across the street from Five Guys and around the corner from the Hard Rock Cafe. The staff was superb. Christian, the brilliant concierge, made my trip incredible. His choice of places to eat and easy to get there directions, OH WOW. Go there, you will not regret it. I loved my stay at the Sofitel Berlin.

Great location; beautiful building architecturally; room was spacious and amenities were good, but the interior is a little "tired". Could use a good freshening up. For example, the chair in the room was seriously frayed.
