The hotel is lovely and the pool great but the service from quite a few members of staff was awful. From the lifeguard sitting on his phone out of the way the whole time we were swimming, not bothering to bring us towels and then throwing us out so he could put chemicals in at 6pm on the dot (the manual says the pool is cleaned at night).
To the receptionist who when we asked for a late check out said yes, but didn’t ask what room we were in so we told her, then when we went to return to the room in our swimming costumes found out key had been blocked out as she hadn’t applied the late check out.
One waiter at the restaurant was also rude and we weren’t allowed prawns or calamari or fish as we had been told we could only have them as a (more expensive platter) as they had already been portioned out???
Also, the gate to the beach is locked at all times and you have to ask security to unlock it. You also get charged when on the beach!
We really liked the food at the restaurant, the rooms and the pool, so much that we returned to this place during our trip. But the second visit was marred by the above.
Some staff were amazing. Pool bar staff and the porter to name some.
