Monaco renovations hard to enjoy during pandemic.
This was a disappointing stay for a few different reasons, even with cutting some slack for pandemic times. We are big supporters of the Denver Monaco and were excited to see the renovations. We ran into some challenges. First - things that could be attributed to these being tough times and the hotel likely being understaffed: The Valet line was so long we waited for twenty minutes for anyone to show up and finally just parked ourselves in a garage a block away. Not a huge deal - just felt like the hotel couldn’t keep up first impressions and it all seemed a bit chaotic. Next: we had pre-arranged an early check-in, but were told that wasn’t going to happen when we arrived. We were told to wait and eventually they let us know our room was no longer available. Got an upgrade to a larger 7th floor suite, which was a nice service recovery. However the suite’s bathroom was dirty in places with soap scum and the bath water ran brown for a minute or so. Either it hadn’t been used in a while or was related to the renovation. The larger issue for us was these (very large and very nice) 7th floor suites have paper thin walls. The bedroom felt like our neighbors were in the room with us. We could have had an easy conversation through the walls if we wanted. The lack of privacy was disconcerting. Finally, and this is just a sign of the times - but was uncomfortable with the amount of guests not wearing masks for the daily open wine social. Crowded and unsafe.

Don’t go during the winter time!
They charge a 32 dollar resort fee but you can’t even order room service. The room was freezing and would not heat up. The TV in lobby didn’t work and the water did not get very hot for shower. They did work with us which was appreciated, but we won’t be staying there again.

Take your Pets!
Love this hotel for the pet policy. Little disappointed that the rooms (specifically the luxury suite and adjoining room) were fairly run down - torn wallpaper and holes in the walls. But the service is fantastic, and all our needs were met.

Poor Cleanliness
We arrived and checked in only to enter a dirty room! The room had not been cleaned prior to our stay. This so so disappointing. When we got moved to a clean room, the cleanliness was still not up to par. This was supposed to be a romantic night away for my girlfriends birthday but ended up being a huge disappointment.

Loved this hotel! The location was perfect, very short walks to some of the best places and restaurants. The staff was very courteous and friendly. We had a few incidents happen to us during our stay (not the hotel's fault) and had to constantly be calling the front desk, yet they never showed attitude or annoyance with us. The lobby was beautiful, had lots of seating and they even offered free coffee every morning. The rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable. Windows were huge and offered lots of natural lighting. From what I saw, the hotel was extremely clean throughout the entirety of the stay. Cleaning room service wasn't offered during our stay due to covid, but if you needed room assistance then someone was always available. The hotel restaurant was also very nice and had a relaxed environment. Restaurant staff was very pleasant as well. Masks were strictly enforced in the hotel which made us feel safer being in common areas. Overall great experience!!

Great location to relax and enjoy downtown Denver
Very nice updated property right in the heart of Denver. Lots of food, bars and shops in the area, and if it weren't for Covid we would have enjoyed as many as possible. The room was very nice, clean and very comfortable bed, not to firm or soft.
