Great place!
I highly recommend this place. I stayed almost a week and it was very comfortable and accommodating. The location is perfect as well! I’ll definitely stay here again!

night away
First weekend back in Nola after Covid outbreak. Just needed a night to get away. The hotel is functioning with only five basic employees and it was amazing how well they were doing. The front desk staff gave us amazing recommendations for restaurants open in the vicinity and were very friendly and helpful!

comfortable, good location
It’s a weird time to be traveling so probably that affected things. The hotel is a little less quaint than it appeared online and some of the aspects that looked more appealing were closed down for the time being (access to the little pool/fountain). The courtyard area out back is pretty but there was a strong smell of trash coming from nearby that marred that experience a bit. Staff was kind and we definitely felt they were on top of the whole COVID thing.

A Special Place
My husband and I chose the St. James Hotel for our 25th anniversary trip to New Orleans. The location is ideal, safe, and simply beautiful. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the most kind staff. The lobby is beautiful, and the hotel had all of the charm we were looking for in an authentic NOLA experience. We walked everywhere, and the location of this hotel made it so easy. We had a room with a private balcony, which I highly recommend. Slept very well, comfortable bed and quite room. The most wonderful thing was the complimentary croissants, coffee, and juice delivered to our room every morning!!! It was perfect, just enough to get you ready for the day. I miss it! I wouldn't consider any other hotel. This one is the best.

The worst hotel in the world. DO NOT STAY
The receptionist was rude, curt, and always shut me off before I could finish what I had to say. Several time he just reprimanded me to take a seat and not disturb him. The rooms were dirty when we checked in, and floors were not cleaned, but if food pieces were all over the place. The bedsheet was stained from previous stay, from wine, and that wasn’t the worse part. It was stained even on our second day of the stay, so clearly they didn’t even change it the next day. A fire alarm went off on the second day, and no body bothered to tell us what happened. When I called to enquire, as usual I was cut short and the phone was disconnected. I asked the password for the internet, the guy blabbered something I didn’t understand, and so when I asked to repeat, he said “Thank you”, and disconnected again. During checkout, we had requested for a taxi at 4PM. We came back at 3:50PM to the hotel to collect our bags, hoping for a taxi to come, that never came. When asked about it, the receptionist (same guy), said it’s because we came late!! We were there 10 minutes early!! And regardless, he then told us to find our own arrangement for transportation. Seriously are you kidding me? I will be leaving terrible reviews all over the internet for your facility, and I will make sure to spread the word everywhere how bad you are.

The WORST
The sheets weren't clean and the room smelled bad. The breakfast was sent to the room 3 mins. before check out. We could not eat it because they would not extent our check out time. We've stayed in several New Orleans hotel since 1997. We stay in N.O. at least 8xs a year this hotel is the worst.
