The stay started badly. The Sonder is a 'self serve' hotel with NO staff on the front desk and the entire check-in process is done on-line, or with an App. We were not informed of this fact and were locked out of the hotel until another guest let us in. We were unable to check-in because there was nobody at the front desk and it was by fortuitous chance that someone came out of the back office and helped us with the check-in process. After a laborious registration with their app and check in, supervised by that hotel person, we were able to check in, but a six digit pin, selected by them, to access the hotel and room is arduous. On the bright side, the guest luggage lockers worked well.
