The hotel location is in a fabulous location and the staff were helpful, however it was extremely noisy in our room (inland double) and we were woken up at the crack of dawn by bin men one day and what sounded like glass recycling the next. There was no parking outside the front of the hotel so had to park down the road and walk up.
The doors in the corridor slammed shut constantly throughout the night and it was very difficult to get a good nights sleep what with the springy beds which were a small double and moved around constantly.
My partner booked me a massage but unfortunately it wasnt as relaxing as I would have liked - the room was very cold, the massage bed was creaky and unstable, the room was adjacent to the pool so could hear people/families coming and going and their conversations etc.. not to mention the 'bell' at reception of the pool which keep being pressed ! anything but relaxing :-( the girl who did the massage was pleasant enough and very friendly, but her hands were freezing and with that and the cold room I was happy to get out and warm up!
The pool was tiny , max of 4 people i would suggest is enough and the pool area looked very dated indeed.
Breakfast wasnt included which was a shame as would have been nice to sit in conversatory area but it was deadly quiet with very little atmosphere - if it had been July/Aug time perhaps a different story as the hotel is situated in a beautiful spot.
