Upon entering hotel, it was apparent it was old and run down, but as it was just a quick overnight before a medical appointment, we thought it would be fine. Entering the hallways, however, there were soiled mattresses stored laying up against the wall. When we entered the room, it was clear the door had recently been kicked in and only haphazardly and insufficiently 'repaired.' There was a random wire sticking 4 feet out of the floor, rusty frayed ends just exposed. The carpet was not connected, and provided a trip hazard upon entering the room. The bathroom granite counter top had been broken at some point, and left jagged ends to scrape any one using the faculties as well as the interworking of plumbing exposed. The commode had not been cleaned, as evidenced by urine and pubic hairs on the seat and basin. The shower curtain rod was only partially connected, and flopped on the single screw when the curtain was touched. There were items left by previous occupants in the fridge and microwave, as well as all the hotel service brochures used, stained. Each drawer was peppered with dirt and debris. The bedding had not been cleaned, as evidenced by the urine stains and pubic hairs. There had been water damage at some point, and the walls and ceiling sagged precariously above us. The room was so disgustingly filthy and dangerous, we were only in it long enough to take photos we had to leave and book elsewhere for the night. The hotel staff REFUSED to refund us.
