Liked that it was Pet friendly and no extra charge for pet. Nice shower, has a safe and microwave.Otherwise it's like a half way house. Guards on all floors, sketchy characters lingering day and night. Mattress is awful and sticky grime on nightstand. I guess you get what you pay for, maybe a little less.

Comfortable; updated; clean. This is a smoke-free motel but smokers sat on the kerb outside the rooms to smoke.

The room had a smell, which we dissipated by using AC. It was ok, not as good as some other Red Roof hotels.

It was only when I was about to leave for my trip and confirming my reservation that I saw recent reviews that this Red Roof was giving rooms to homeless people. Of course I cannot confirm that was happening, but it sure did look that way as many people congregated in the parking lot to socialize and have a smoke. While I do applaud Red Roof for standing by the needs of the Asheville community, I wish things were handled a little differently. For one thing, there are two sides to the hotel...it might have been easier for everyone if the subsidized guests were on one side and regular paying guests stayed on the other. That said, my room was clean and I never felt threatened. Oh yes...how about a little coffee pot in the room?

This place gets a pretty bad rep but it’s really not that bad. I felt safe the entire time. There’s a deadbolt on the door and a second lock. It’s a nice place for just a cheap place to stay with pets. The bed wasn’t super comfy but it was a place to stay. Bathroom was good. Desk was good. Yes there are people that spend the night in the parking lot but it’s because Asheville gets a lot of homeless people but I swear they are the nicest, most respectful people I have ever met. They may look a little rough but they are harmless :)

I didn't know i would need to upgrade my room to get a mini fridge and microwave. The room we reserved was clean and convenient to our travel route.

Nothing,people all around hanging out smokong and drinking.very rough looking,looked like a homeless shelter in the hotel.And druggies hanging out.Checked in got keys went got food and came back said screw it and left was willing to loose my money i paid for the safty of my family.

Room was freshly painted and clean. One mattress was in very poor shape. The chair was old and very worn. The motel was very dimly lit. The group of folks gathered outdoors when we arrived was unsettling because of low lighting. Once in the room we were comfortable.

Muy mala y asqueroso y viven muchos craqueros.y el personal la mayoría son déspotas y racista.

It was really nice and affordable! We brought our 2 pups and weren’t disturbed. Only thing was the area isn’t great. There are a lot of weird people around. So keep your pets close.
