Air conditioning was fantastic in our room over a hot August weekend. Fabulous location- right along the pride parade route next to the beach. Room was nice & quiet. Breakfast was good too.

Typical English breakfast; if you're expecting anything else, you won't get it. Room had an excellent view towards the beach, though windows could be more clean to enjoy it. A very comfy bed, modern tv, yet a filthy carpet and no water in room available. Helpful and friendly staff.

Lovely hotel. But I just don’t think you can pay £300 a night without aircon. Rooms had a fan from the 1950s which wasn’t any help. Also no fridge in the room, so a hot room and no place for cold drinks. I understand hospitality is under pressure but it’s a lot of money without the basics.

We stayed in an inward facing family room with a double and single bed. Both beds were very comfortable and clean. The tea/coffee facilities and bottled water were nice to have. The ensuite bathroom was spacious and well appointed however the grouting needs an update as it has gone black and looks dirty.

We sadly had a bad experience - we had a leak in our bathroom , the ceiling started to collapse after 4 times speaking to reception. I don’t think matters are taken as seriously as they could be due to lack of free rooms. The shower gel was also nearly empty and not topped up , small details were just not spot on . Good location, however. Breakfast was nice.

There are rooms without AC; that room was unbearable when we were there on the warmest days ever recorded. We got to change to a room with AC, but the smell in the room was like we were living in a moist, unventilated basement. And the view was... to be kind, uninspiring. Overall, a good location. Nice common areas with history. Some rooms really need to be renovated!

lovely room clean and with a great view. Only stayed one night but the bed was very comfy and there was an iron, coffee machine with both real and decaf pods as well as robes and slippers. it was a premium room but the extra touches were thoughtful and useful.

Lovely hotel although the ‘double’ room would have better accommodated a single bed. It was a bit cramped. Staff were great. Hotel is fabulous and they have a pay carpark.
