Academy "Motel". 2 stars at best.
This place is very badly maintained.
The room they gave me had yellow spots all over the ceiling in the bathroom. They looked potentially like molds. When I asked the front desk, they casually said "it is just condensation from smoking in the bathroom". What? I booked a non-smoker room.
My room had a lot of things wrong. The bathroom had broken support bar, which was hanging loose and dangerous if you would lean on it. The door also had broken security lock. No new room was offered by the hotel staff.
I went back to room to discuss potentially moving to another hotel. Unfortunately, my elderly mother was already passed out from long day of hours of hiking. This was the only reason we ended up staying...
Later in the night, I found multiple issues with the room. The towels and pillows are smelly and stinks. It smells like when a guy's blanket is not washed for months.
The bathroom vent seemingly is never cleaned. Noise isolation is bad and you could literally hear what your neighbors are talking about if they are talking energetically and having a good time.
Of my entire 6 days trip in Colorado, this hotel was the only thing negative in my trip including everything. There are plenty of other good options for in its price range. Please do yourself a favor and book another hotel...
I may be unlucky to have a bad room and am responsible for not pushing it hard for another room. But, my photos will prove how badly they maintain.
