Great check-in, 4th floor room. Immediately when I get to my hotel room, I want to get ice and then not have to leave my room. There were at least 3 signs on the 4th floor pointing to ice machines, yet I couldn't find one anywhere. I tried to ring the front desk from the hallway but it was just a disconnected phone. Finally, I went down to the 3rd floor and found one there. Bed was comfy some loud across-the-hall neighbors who had no hotel etiquette, but those people can't be avoided. Fridge wasn't very cold & there was no microwave in the room, though I did see one in the lobby
The biggest issue was the next morning, when I went to my car, I noticed several other cars in the parking lot with broken windows. There were about a dozen cars that had their windows smashed & I assume people had left something in sight for thieves to see because there was "stuff" scattered outside one of the cars I saw. There wasn't even a gum wrapper in my car & it was fine.
I was trying to decide if I should stay another night but figured the night AFTER a big burglary, would probably be the safest night to stay. I parked near a cop cam, made sure my seats were cleared (nothing in the cup holders or anything) & asked inside if there would be patrols that night & they said yes. It just reminds you that even though it's a nice east Memphis area & a good hotel, it's still Memphis and there's only so much you can do. I would stay here again but my parking would be very carefully thought out beforehand.
