Lack of maintenance. I slipped on the floor as a result of a leak of the air cond. I nearly broke my head and bones. Ir was a miracle I did not though I now feel aches everywhere. No warm water on 3 days. It happens usually. No wake up call as they missed my correct room number, though it appears on the system when you call. I nearly miss my flight. The property is getting old and I do not see improvements

Rio Othon is one of the few hotels that accepts large dogs in entire city of Rio de Janeiro and this is definitely a plus for them. Check in was very organized as you don't have to wait in line. they give a number and you can sit and waiting at the hotel lobby while waits. Also, we had an upgrade in our room which put us with very privilege view of Copacabana Beach. Besides the hotel offered us bed, diapers, 2 pots for our dog which makes us surprise and extremely happy. Lastly, upon the check up the employees lined up to say goodbye to my dog which make our stay perfect. Congratulations to this sweet staff.

A solid choice of hotel

The staff is great; very helpful. The views are great, as well as the fact that it seems to be the only hotel on the beach at Copacabana with actual balconies. The bedspreads were a little worn, and the toilet seat was in a mild state of disrepair. The breakfast buffet was very good. By my American standards I would consider it a nice budget hotel. I would certainly stay there again, but I was initially expecting something more luxurious. The location is very convenient. But overall it was a good deal.

Due to the Covid19 I paid the same ammount and couldnt use any ammenities, I think they would give a discount if no breakfest buffet was open, no pool and so on. I think the clients deserve a discount bout everything that couldnt use.
