Beauty but a beast.
About me: would never leave a review unless it is very important and significant. The positive: location, hotel aesthetic, mosquito rooftop, dark passion cocktail, estiban. The negative: loud, very loud. Do not stay on the 10 floor it’s above the club/bar. Do not stay on the 2nd floor it’s right next to the staff room that opens and slams the door every early morning. Breakfast is very basic. If you don’t mind having no sleep then this is the hotel for you.

The location is really good, staff is amazing, very helpfull and nice. The breakfast is good and the rooftop has good selection on dinner. If you are trying to get some rest or sleep in, bring your hear plugs, because ist is not noise protected.

The property is beautifully designed. All of the staff at the hotel are wonderful. Its in a great location. However all the rooms face the buildings behind the hotel on Calle 10 which is party central. There is a club that had very loud events every night (Fri-Sun) so sleep was near impossible. During the week it was quiet. Also my room (501) was next to another room that had 8 bunk beds in it which basically meant a very loud room or 8 singles in one room there to party. Ugh. The room lacks a hairdryer and iron. Also the down lighting in the bathroom isnt the best for getting ready as its right over the mirror.

Wonderful Staff and Property to Stay in Poblado
I spent a few days at The Somos and it was terriifc. The staff was wonderful, rooftop bar and restaurant downstrairs was great. Centrally located and would stay here again.

Home away from home in El poblado!
Look no further! This hotel exceeds all expectations when it comes to service and comfort! Clean and spacious rooms, delicious daily breakfast and espresso, ideal location-short walk to the hot spots of Provenza, incredible roof top views.. i can go on! We started our trip here and had to come back the next week because they made such a great impression on us. The staff alikens to a big family and made us feel as such. We had a blast with the guys on the roof- Felipe, Juan Carlos, Marcos, Manuel and Christian!! The cocktail program is stellar thanks to Caro! A huge thanks to Pablo, Yohana, Jason, Jennifer and Estiven -truly everyone- for making our trip to Medellin a memorable one. <3 we will be back soon!!

It was the best of timesand the worst of times...
Don't get me wrong. Overall, I had a great time. A great room. And a great location. But, I hadn't been prepared for a few things; like no phones in the room. As an older traveler, I gave the hotel phone number to my friends. Most Don't even know what WhatsApp is. And , I always ask for a high floor to in order to take in the view. Problem was that put me closer to the rooftop bar. It sounded as if there was a rave ( see,I'm somewhat hip) happening over my head which kept me up late....But, it still was a win, overall...
