We LOVED our stay at Hotel American Dinesen. In a great location just 5 minutes from the Academia bridge and our superior double room had 3 small balconies overlooking the canal, with chairs to sit and chat. A well stocked minibar selection. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only things we would have liked would have been water and toiletries to be replaced when room serviced, and

air conditioning was poor

Great service in this relatively small hotel - friendly helpful staff, excellent location and very stylish interior deco. Good room with an excellent canal view - its on quite a busy little side canal so if early morning delivery boats being unloaded opposite bother you don't go for a canal view room - we loved it ! The location alone makes it excellent. We'd read some of the previous negative reviews before we booked and confirm we saw no evidence of anything other than a first class hotel with staff that are proud to work there

Like new. Great breakfast. Huge bathroom. On water (so no dragging bags thru streets) and modern elevator. Great hotel.

The staff where very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I was there for my daughters wedding (Nicola) I am her dad John, she booked it for me. So it was important that everything was good & it was. Also lovely breakfast!
