Growing up the name Hilton would be related with comfort, class and cleanliness. It has fallen from the pedestal. The room we stayed in the 5th floor was 80 degrees when we arrived, so we turned the AC on, 4 hours later it was 76, called the front desk and they sent maintenance to check it out, at the same time we heard something fall in the bathroom. A vent cover had fallen from the top of a wall. Maintenance tried to fix the AC with no luck, the vent cover was supposed to be reattached the next day it didn't happened. Needless to say our whole stay was in a hot room with a vent wide open in the bathroom. They did supply an old box fan that was loud. There was no microwave in the room, so we had to warm my son's meals in the lobby's only microwave that was filthy. The corridor and both elevators were filthy with dirt and debris. There were posted signs at the door to use masks, but at least half of the guest did not have one on, especially in the morning when the restaurant was shoulder to shoulder with guests ordering and picking up their food. We will not be staying at any Hilton hotels from now on.

The hotel’s title says it’s near Duke University, but it’s a few miles away, definitely not walking distance. The hotel is modern and the rooms were nice.

The property seems to have been updated recently. Very relaxing environment. Quiet and relaxing room.

I’m very disappointed with my state here. The service, the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was terrible. I had a room that had NO heat. I requested a room with heat and was told that the rooms were having issues with heating. The power also went out leaving me cold and in darkness. This was a very bad experience and will never stay at this hotel again. I will never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Thanks

Very nice friendly staff. Room Cleanliness was not up to par with other Hiltons I have stayed.

My overall stay was okay. However, I did notice that the toilet was not fully cleaned. I only stayed in the hotel overnight and barely used the bathroom so I didn’t trouble the staff with cleaning it during my stay. Other than that, my room was comfortable and the service was excellent.

My trip was comfortable and the facility appeared to be safe and they moved very quickly at the front desk to keep things moving. Thanks and I'll stay again when I visit Durham.

My wife complained about being code the whole night, while our kids said they felt fine. The next morning, we noticed our thermometer had been set to AC instead of Heat before we checked in and we didn't bother to check the setting before going to sleep. And we also noticed that my wife's "down" quilt has turned into two sheets of cover because the downs have been crumbled together through the washes. Which was why my wife felt code all night while our kids felt fine because their quilt is still filled with down feathers.

It was very clean. Bathroom and linens were clean. Room was clean. Parking was the best. All questions answered with a smile. Great location from Duke Hospital. Commute to hospital within minutes. Lots of places to eat. Easy to get on interstate and get home.
