They didn't respect the rate we had booked through expedia and charged us an additional $200 CAD upon check-in. The AC in our room didn't work and there was no hot water. We waited 3 hours for someone to try and resolve the issue to no avail. They offered we shower in a different room that wasn't "made" but "at least we could have a warm shower" - this wasn't an option for us. Finally they promised us a new room would be available at 12pm the next day, to meet the bellboy in our room so we could get our new key. At noon, after multiple calls to reception and being put on hold 4 times we gave up and went to talk to the manager (around 2:30PM) finally they gave us the new key and sent the bellboy for the luggage. We paid "all-inclusive" but were denied soda at breakfast unless we paid for it. Food lineups at the only pool were slow as they only had one person serving an "over-sold hotel" (we know it was oversold as this is the reason they gave us for denying us a new room the night before). No beach service - you have to walk all the way to the pool area to get your food/drinks. Wifi speeds are slower than dial-up, so don't expect to get any work done here if you need to. Used to love this place years back but it's gone downhill. Half of their property was taken over by the hilton and the pool area that is left at Krystal is hideous and very poorly kept. The only "good" we found was the exceptional dinner servers at Aquamarina and the bellboy team. Terrible reception staff.

Do not book this hotel!!!. There’s no wifi in rooms. No cable on TVs.Gives you any room they have available, not the one you paid for. Room service was awful. Food is not the greatest. I totally don’t recommend this hotel. Not satisfied at all.

Booked this as an all-inclusive stay. Staff is very nice and helpful although not all customer facing staff speak English. Resort is old and not all rooms/areas are updated or remodeled. We stayed in the high rise tower which was remodeled but very plain vanilla. The negative is that when it is busy it can take forever to get on an elevator since there are only 2. The biggest disappointment is the bottom shelf alcohol and the food was aweful.

The air conditioner didn’t work. So it was always hot in the room. The room was nice and clean but the comforter had a duvet over it and Velcro on the top of the blanket that constantly scratched our skin. The grounds of the hotel are very dilapidated with tiles and grout missing from the pool. Would not return.
