Our stay was overall “fine,” just not something that we believe was worth the cost per night. Our “bay view” room was a view with an obstruction of an exterior rail-wall, which means you could stand and look at the bay, but there was no ability to sit on your patio and enjoy the view because the wall is there (unlike having a railing instead that would could see through.) Some rooms had railings, but not our building. We splurged on a villa for this trip and we’re more disappointed than not. The room was plenty clean, just nothing special about it. The “king” bed was not a regular king… we sleep with our toddler in bed on vacation so we know what a full size king looks and feels like. It was bigger than a queen, but definitely not traditional king. Great events offered for families during our stay, our daughter LOVED the pool. However, we noticed absolutely no one was on the beach, and the chairs and umbrellas they claim they offer were nowhere in sight. Not sure if this is only seasonal? It was still 80 degrees, so not sure why. The nickel and diming is exhausting— $42/night for self parking in a lot is excessive. $15 per alcoholic drink, no matter what it was, $10 a beer. We knew our intention was to splurge but we just didn’t feel this splurge was even worth it at times.
