Hotel is old and tired, room is quite small. So far the room and area is quiet. Carpet quite old and all around cleanliness is questionable.

We chose this hotel because it was one of the few in San Jose with reasonably priced rooms available that had a Jacuzzi on property. Before we booked, we called to make sure the Jacuzzi was working (since my spouse requires medically to soak in hot water once a day and most hotels on SJO only have showers.). They assured usthat it was working. We arrived to check in and again before we checked and inquired if the Jacuzzi was working. They said it was working. Went to our rooms、unpacked L、changed and went to the Jacuzzi and found that it was barely lukewarm. It seems the idea of “working“ meant the jets were working and the water was circulating. We asked about improving the situation and were told it because it was the weekend there was nothing they could do. It was a cloudy day. We got several answers. The next day it went from Lukewarm to cool and we asked again and were told it was too expensive to heat. To make matters worse the day we left I slipped in their shower and landed on my tailbone. When I inquired at the front Desk if there had any been other reports of people slipping in the shower the front clerk immediately said yes we know the flower shower floors are very slippery we will be putting in mats. I did let her know that it was too late for me because I had already fallen. This place is off our list. Cannot recommend it.

The staff was cheerful and helpful the whole time. The food in the restaurant was also great!

Was here for Pan American Championships. Very nice quiet hotel, with super nice staff. Restaurant in hotel was very good and options available nearby.

It is a boutique hotel with great service and a comfortable room.
