The property is nice, the dining staff and the bartenders were great. I give it a terrible rating because of this: we travelled down with a group of 6 guys to go diving. Each set of guys shared a room for a total of three rooms. The first guys who checked in were a father in law and son in law. The hotel offered them a king sized bed which they refused because it’s weird for two guys to share a bed. They “upgraded” them to a two double bed room which was $79.00/night. The hotel waived the upgrade fee for them. The next set of guys checked in, same situation. However, the “upgrade” fee was not waived. Third set of guys check in, same $79.00 hustle. Front desk and their management would not budge. So, my first (and last) experience with this hotel was a $300.00 shakedown upon arrival. Just know that going in and you’ll be fine. Another strange thing was each time our group left and returned to the hotel in a cab, the valet would ask the cab driver where we were coming from. Not sure what that’s about, but I thought it was strange. I’ll never stay here again for these reasons, but the hotel is nice, clean and safe. Food was good and the dining staff were very nice and professional.
