Upon arrival our first impression was positive as the hotel seemed to be in a very central but quiet location despite being next to a construction site. During our stay this site was inactive.
We were given room 003. The room is located at street level facing a very dark pathway. We felt that we did not have any privacy as people passing by could see us in and therefore we had to have the curtains shut all the time to avoid being seen. But even with the curtain fully open, the room was extremely dark and rather cold.
In the room there was the usual hospitality tray containing different types of teas, infusions, instant coffee and sachets of sugar. No milk is provided. There was also a kettle, two cups and teaspoons. The tray is not replenished when the room is serviced, despite we were assured at reception that this is done. But also the two teacups were not cleaned so we ended up having to wash them ourselves. I reported this to reception and then they provided the missing tea and coffee. However, when the room was serviced next day, they again neglected to replenish the used tea and coffee but also took away the cups. This was reported to reception and then provided us with new cups.
Lastly, the room was well insulated from the noise in the street but noise from the hotel corridors was terrible: we heard full conversations at 1AM from other guests that were wondering in the corridors. We reported this to reception but were told that could not do anything about it.
