First time visiting Puerto Vallarta

Great location to Uber into Malecon. Food was nice but we did try exploring outside for tacos. Alcoholic drinks were fabulous. Staff was nice and attentive. Pools were great. Beach access was nice to enjoy the views and we managed to see whales breaching the water. 10/10 would rebook with this hotel.

It was OK. Check-in took a very long time. Property is nice and well kept. Beaches were good. Lots to do around the area. Unfortunately half the resturants we not open the 5 days we were there so options on site were limited. Coffee bar was extreamly slow and rude, and the food wasnt anything to talk about. I also think I got food poisoning.

We knew this was not a 5 star resort when we booked it but we were extremely happy with our stay there. We were a family of 4 also travelling with two seniors. The staff were so friendly and helpful I cannot say enough good things about them. Beach access is easy but you will be mobbed by vendors once there. We did have one issue where we thought an item went missing from our room. The staff and management took this very seriously and launched an investigation. It turns out our son left it at the beach and they were able to track it down. We were extremely happy with how they handled it and we made to sure to tip all the staff accordingly for what was our fault. The food quality was very good for an all inclusive and the drink quality was much higher quality than you typically get at these places. The location is only 15 minutes from the airport so a $10 taxi will get you there. Also you can walk around once out of the compound to any number of stores and restaurants. There were lots of Canadian and American guests which was nice and the overall atmosphere is very friendly. There are plans to tear down some of the buildings in the future so take that into consideration. Overall we loved it and would recommend it as a great option.

Had some mixup at check-in with the room they did sort it out the following day. At 10 o’clock at night everything is closed if you’re looking for a nightlife or dancing, they do not have it here, but it is located in a great spot where you can walk for any extra Evening party and you’re looking to do. There’s a lot of older couples not resort for the young.

Clean, ocean accessible. Friendly staff especially the dining staff. Disliked the initial predation around buying membership. Beach and pool area nice but crowded. No shuttle from airport very inconvenient and led to getting scammed.

Our first time to Puerto Vallarta - was a great introduction hotel. We did not know ahead of time the hotel was partly closed due to the upcoming new building structure. We assume this is why there was no real entertainment to attend in the evening like other hotels we have been to in the past. The staff was extremely friendly, especially Melina our guest services host. We were a bit surprised the beach vendors were permitted to walk through the lounge chair area on the beach but very close to the pool.

Enjoyed a 7 night stay here , staff were friendly and helpful . Food wasn't great but there's options at least. Rooms were the highlight , super spacious and clean. Pools are good but not super baby/toddler friendly. Awkward location as it's 40 minutes walk from the main town but if you are planning on just a resort stay it's ok as the beach is steps away

Villa Pal Mar Vallarta provides excellent service in a comfortable setting. We have stayed at newer, huge all-inclusive resorts and find that we much prefer the smaller setting that VPL provides. What the facilities lack due to age, the service and excellent food and drinks more than make up for.
