We arrived in the morning on a red-eye flight so we really appreciated the hotel offering a secure locked baggage drop as we went out to see the city. Overall, didn't love the hotel but we were lucky to find a family room in Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival. Our room's window looked out on the parking garage (strange) and the whole floor seemed a little bit musty. Breakfast was mid, standard hotel buffet, though the coffee was good.

Central location within walking distance to touristic spots yet no outside noise, we had undisturbed sleep. Good amenities, clean and comfortable. We were able to check in early and the express checkout is handy when rushing back to the airport. Breakfast was busy but we were able to find tables for our large group. Location is great. The tram from the airport stops right in front of the hotel (Picard Place station). It can't get more convenient than that - you just cross the street. There are lots of places to eat and you can walk easily to the old town attractions. The rooms were tight (with the sofa sleeper extended) , felt outdated and damp from the humidity in the air. Staff was nice and the included breakfast was good.

The free bfast, coffee, tea and onsite bar are excellent amenities. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and well designed and especially enjoyed that you can open the window for some fresh air or use the individually controlled thermostat. Although I wish they had hand cream and a guest use microwave onsite somewhere (maybe near the bar).
