Great place to stay and close to Brockwood Hall where our friends were. Hotel was clean, homely with a warm welcome. The only concern was the VERY squeaky bed!

The Foxcroft B & B is excellent - this is the second time i have used it and it has been superb on each occasion - a great room and a gradley breakfast - there is access at night to good restaurants, especially the Da Vinci in Millom 4 miles away - highly recommendable

Absolutely loved it. Although there is nothing within walking distance of this beautiful B&B, the owners are great and the room has everything you need. Breakfast was fantastic, the room was spotless. Highly Recommended.

Good quality accommodation. Very friendly welcome and help with luggage. All rooms on second floor. Our twin was large but had some sloping ceilings and a miniscule shower room. Very quiet. Excellent breakfast.

The house was lovely and the surroundings amazing! Room 4 was large with a lovely soft bed and great views. Everything was very clean and tidy. The only draw back initially was that I was working in Barrow and the didtance (as the crow flies) is just over 5 miles however by road was over 25 miles and 1 hour by car. What an excellent find. The foxcroft was recommend on the reviews so we booked up and were not disappointed in the least. We were looking for an overnight stay near too the south lakes animal park and the foxcroft is only about 45mins away. After arriving up the fantastic driveway we were met by Malcolm the owner who was cutting the grass,he introduced […] himself and welcomed us and showed us to our room. The room double ensuite was immaculate clean and fresh, a nice touch was the fresh milk for coffee instead of the usual small cartons. We went out for a meal and were recommended several places by Malcolm, but being a Monday night a lot of them were closed so we drove a little further to broughton in Furness and ate in the Black cock pub. (Would recommend the steak and ale pie.) After a great nights sleep (a little warm as there was only a duvet and an unusually warm August night) the breakfast was superb everything was so tasty, you must try the locally produced sausages. Malcolm and Shirley were both so friendly and helpful, we will return but will make it for more than one night 詳情

We stumbled across Foxcroft on a search engine and was impressed with the reviews on tripadvisor. All well deserved. Breakfast by Shirley was very good quality. Malcolm was very helpful in recommending places to visit. The setting was gorgeous and it was the perfect location for the Cumbrian Heavy Horses riding school and Muncaster Castle. The B&B is about 30 minutes from the Sellafield nuclear installation, which is where I occasionally work. The location is a little remote, however the accommodations were extremely clean and the owners were excellent hosts. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed our stay there and would return again.

We booked this stay on the strength of the reviews on trip advisor....and to our delight found that they are all completely true!!! This is a true hidden little gem!!! The B&B owners were super-nice Brits. The property was very pretty and the large home has huge potential for becoming an upscale inn. Lovely building in peaceful surroundings. Owners were very friendly and accommodating, even found a travel plug for my wife's flat iron avoiding a hair disaster! Our toddler son had a great time crawling around their thick carpets too. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the Cumbria area.

The foxcroft is an excellent b+b just outside Millom. it took a while to find after driving round Haverigg a few times so make sure you have the road name and b+b phone number with you. on arrival we were met at the car and shown to our room.(all 4 bedrooms are up two flights of stairs) we had chosen the twin bedroom which was loverly. small shower […] room. tea,coffee and biscuits.milk is kept in a small fridge on landing you help yourself (better than those small pots) you fill in a form to say what you would like for breakfast and hand it in back downstairs. we ate out that evening after being recommended a few resteraunts we choose an italian in millom (excellent ,book early as it gets busy) following morning had a walk in the grounds of the foxcroft, long driveway nicely planted trees and bushes. lots of lawned areas, went for breakfast ,fruit juices, cereals fresh fruit platter, full breakfast, tea-coffee toast. the b+ b as only been open since last year and as already achieved 4 stars,the host are really nice and friendly. we visited whitehaven.st bees. and barrow whilst we were in the area. 詳情
