Surrounded by vineyards and tobacco fields, this small inland port looks more towards Bordeaux than the Dordogne. A Maison des Vins in an ancient convent and a couple of museums pay homage to local industries and a once-thriving river trade. Rostand’s hero Cyrano presides over a quiet square in the old town, though his links with Bergerac are purely fictional. South of town, Château de Monbazillac showcases Bergerac’s celebrated dessert wine.

"Adequate but convenient"
A pleasant small motel located convenient to Bergerac town and airport. Rooms rather dated but reasonably comfortable for a nights stay. Small but adequate restaurant for breakfast and dinner. clean and comfortable. having a pool was a bonus. very good location for the airport. Next to the hotel is an Aqua Park, which was very good value and ideal for our last day waiting for an evening flight. "Musty, gloomy room"
The room we were allocated had a very musty, damp smell. The room was not very well lit. The sealant around the bath was covered in mould. We had to ask for a pillow for the third bed in the room and were given a rock hard cushion. Tea and coffee in room welcome change in a French hotel, but only enough for two in a room for three. "Disappointing - Room for improvement"
Stayed 1 night prior to flying home. A very disappointing hote on what appeared to be an industrial estatel. The room was small and cramped and there was extensive staining to the bedroom carpet. Although reasonably equipped, the bathroom was unpleasant with extensive black mould on the tile grouting and sealant. Only plus point was the provision of […] tea/coffee making facilities and wi-fi. La chambre est confortable, j'ai trouvé l'hôtel calme. seul bémol, un petit manque d'hygiène ! des ongles coupés à proximité du lit (du précédent occupant, qui souhaitait peut être laissé un petit souvenir de son passage) ! Une équipe accueillante, des femmes de ménage soucieuses de notre bien être. Grandes chambres et salle de bain.
