"Really a perfect getaway from Dubai"
Hotels.com offered a great rate on this hotel and it was the perfect three night getaway from Dubai. The hotel, especially the lobby area, is beautiful, the service was lovely, the breakfast buffet was excellent, as were the happy hour cocktails. "Great hotel! Shame about the garbage on the beach!"
Brilliant Hotel and service. Shame about the beach, I know nothing can be done about the oil in the beach, but the garbage on the sand is totally unacceptable. This is a five star hotel and not cleaning the beach everyday is really bad. I almost felt compelled to get a bag and pick up plastic bottles littering the sandy beach. Its a shame really. The room service is very bad, Nobody cares even to ask if u want them to help u with the luggage. The receptionist did not ask some one to take our luggage to the room, had to carry by our self. "Great modern hotel - ideal place to relax"
The location is beautiful as it's set by mountains and right on the Arabian Sea. We really liked the low rise charm and Arabian architecture this hotel has compared to the other high rise hotels nearby which could be located anywhere in the world. "Great spot but service lacking"
Our first impressions of the hotel thankfully were overcome by an excellent location. The check-in process and delivery of our luggage was poor and disappointing. We arrived at 2pm and were greeted and seated in the lobby. We went through the check in process and then were advised that our room would be ready at 3pm, which was fine as we went and […] had lunch. At 3pm we returned to the reception and had to wait a further 15min for our room keys and an hour for our bags to be brought to our room. After phoning reception three times seeking out our luggage we were offered a late check out which didn't suit our stay. We asked to speak to the manager but was told they were not available. The hotel location is beautiful and this is what made it for us. Swimming in the beach was gorgeous. The hotel staff are friendly but seem to be over worked and there doesn't appear to be enough staff to service needs. Furniture particularly in the large reception welcome area is worn and tacky e.g. the lounge chairs we were taken to on arrival were torn. We dined at the buffet which was average and expensive by Dubai standards. The asian restaurant was ok. I would probably try other hotels in the area before returning to this hotel. 詳情

"Disappointing"
The staff was nice, but wow ... this hotel needs a lot of work. First we got into our room and it was not the room we reserved, this one had twin beds instead of a queen. The room also had some nasty dirty rugs in it that really needed a cleaning and overall, the room smelled really awful and was quite humid. We requested a move and got a room with […] no rugs but the place still smelled and the A/C wasn't working well so it was really humid. The walls need to be painted because they are dirty and scuffed up, also because the paint behind the night stands were actually flaking off and bubbling up. Also, spider webs and really dirty along the walls behind the bed and behind the night stands ... I wouldn't have noticed but I plugged something in behind the nightstand. The balcony wall was so high that when you sit down, you can't see over it, and the wood on the rail was flaking and splintery... the balcony wall in the first room was cracked. After taking a shower, since there is no curtain, the floor is flooded. We called the front desk because the A/C wasn't working and a mainenance man came and changed a filter and it started working right away ... why didn't they do that before we got into the room? The main pool was empty but it wasn't, it might have been nice. We asked the lady at the front desk to recommend something to do the next day, she recommended parasailing ... so we skipped a planned tour and went to book a parasailing trip then were told that the boat was broken. The one good thing was that the beach was nice. Don't stay here. Go to the Rotana or Le Meridien next door for better service and nicer rooms. This is not a 5-star hotel. 詳情
"Disappointed in Miramar"
We had to wait an hour and a half after we arrived at the hotel to get our room keys. The paperwork we had stated we had a 2pm check in time, however the hotel staff insisted check in was not until 3pm. As we waited we watched people come and check in after we did, get their keys, and get a tour of the hotel. When we did receive our keys, we were not […] told where our room was, were not told about the sites restaurants, shown around or anything. Just told the room was outside. The rooms were nice and clean. Fairly decent sized. Well stocked with towels. Mini bar lacked many things that were on their menu of items to be purchased. Biggest disappointments were the lack of pool bar and lack of covering for the kiddie pool. In this heat and sunshine the little ones should have adequate covering. The buffet breakfast was mediocore. Have had much better food in mall restaurants. Eggs were runny, everything was cold from sitting for so long. Check out was quite a hassle too. They had to go check the room prior to us leaving to see if we had taken anything from their over priced mini bar options. I will not be returning to the hotel. Rotana and Merridien are much better for the same amount of money. 詳情

Der er et PADI dykkercenter (Divers.Down) på hotellet med dansk instruktør og gode dykkersteder i området. Restauranter på stedet er med god service og specielt SensAsia med asiatisk mad var en fantastisk spiseoplevelse. Priserne er […] rimelige i forhold til kvaliteten. Der er en god beach bar hvor du kan få alt hvad du lyster af snacks, is, øl, juice, cocktails og lette frokoster. Hotellets officielle rygepolitik overholdes og håndhæves ikke i praksis. Er man sart overfor cigaretrøg kan det på trods af rygning forbudt skilte være svært at finde et værelse der ikke lugter surt af cigaretrøg. Hotellets umiddelbare løsning på rygning på ikke-ryger værelser er at spraye kunstig luftfrisker ud i lokalet. Vi fik -på trods af et fuldt booket hotel- skiftet vores værelse til et ikke-ryger værelse hvor der heller ikke havde været røget. Det nye værelse havde vi absolut ikke noget at sætte fingeren på. 詳情
