Staff is helpful, breakfast is ok (3 Euro each), close to supermarket, non-stop mini store and not far from metro, a good restaurant nearby which hotel staff will introduce it to you. Room is a bit small but it is more than enough in Hong Kong standard~~ Wifi is available in our room and the place we have breakfast, speed is more than enough. Their staff helped us to book taxi to the airport, fixed price, big and fancy taxi, very very nice!! I believe that the hotel has provided us more than we had paid, I highly recommend it.

The hotel is located near the metro and the tram stop so it's easy to assess to the scenic spots. Room is new and modernized .The buffet breakfast is good . However the Mcdonald nearby attracts a lot of gangs liked youth at night and if you return to the hotel late at night (after the night boat trip) you should be more alert.

Spent 5 nights in one of the apartments - everything's there with a full-size kitchen that was so handy for my family, who bought a bit of fresh food from the city's central market a couple of times to make our own dinner. Even better was that the housekeepers did the dish-washing for us as well (though never something hard with the dishwasher), plus the standard housekeeping stuff. Compared to the standard guestroom residents we got no fewer services, and with the extra space (the apartment was some 1000 sqft, at least) and no extra charge for a 3rd guest, it's a real bargain and I won't trade it for something else. The only semi-downside: no toothbrush and toothpaste provided. As an Asian my family wasn't too familiar with that (hotels in Asia generally provide the dental kit), but given that European countries put much emphasis on environmental protection it's not entirely surprising (and the same thing happened when we stayed in another hotel in Prague). So it isn't a big problem, for me at least.

"Never again"
This is one of the worst experiences I had with a hotel. On arrival, it took me half an hour to actually get a member of staff to check me in. When I was taken to my room, it was a single bed despite my having booked a a standard double room. I was told that was the only room left. On top of that, it was still filthy from the last guest, and not ready. […] This in itself is not a problem, I am used to sometimes arriving before rooms are ready. I was told it would be sorted in half an hour. I went off into town for an appointment, and came back 5 hours later to find the room still filthy, and I mean really gross! I went and talked to the guy at "reception" (the bar), and he really didn't care at all. He sent someone to clean the room, which was done very half heartedly. There was still urine all over the toilet AFTER they had supposedly cleaned the room. I was totally disgusted by this hotel, the cleanliness and the worst service I have ever experienced in any hotel...and I have had some bad service before! Avoid this hotel! There are so many better ones in Budapest for the same price or less! 詳情
"No internet"
The hotel claims to have wifi. They do not. They had no internet whatsoever. The "hotel" is just a few rooms a restaurant has in an adjacent building. No one seemed to have a clue what was happening during check in.

Galilei Hotel ei kilpaile erityisemmin viehättävyydellä, mutta se on edullinen ja tarpeeksi siisti majapaikka sellaiselle, joka ei välitä oleskella hotellissa vaan käy päivän mittaan vaihtamassa vaatteita ja taas menoksi. Keskeinen sijainti ei haitannut yöunia, ympäristö oli rauhallinen. Villasukat tai tossut mukaan, niin kylmillä laattalattioillakin […] voi tallustella. Wc ja suihku toimivat, mutta viemärit taitavat olla pikku ongelma tällaisissa paikoissa pitkin Eurooppaa. Hiukan kärsivällisyyttä, niin vesikin juoksi. Hotelli oli minusta pikemminkin hostel-tasoinen, ehkä sitten sieltä kärkipäästä. 詳情
Einkennileg gestamóttaka, var inn á veitingastaðnum, látin setjast við matarborð, svo kom þjónn með þykka handskrifaða bók og bætti okkur við. Það var ekki nóg að framvísa aðgangsnúmeri eins og segir á vefnum ykkar. Ekki nógu góð lykt á veitingastaðnum. Borðuðum þar um kvöldið, ágætur matur, en ekki nógu hreinlegt, skítugur dúkur.
"Horrible es decir poco"
Tuve la mala suerte de leer las opiniones de Hoteles.com después de hacer mi reserva en Galilei, imperdonable. Lo que me encontré cumplía con creces con lo que no debe ser un hotel. De hecho, no lo es. Son 4 habitaciones que un restaurante tiene alquiladas y que subarrienda a los huéspedes. No existe ningún tipo de servicio ni recepción, y como deben […] ser conscientes de que la gente podría hacerles críticas obligan a pagar antes incluso de darte la habitación. El cuarto, sucio, con camas destartaladas y peor aún, sin ningún tipo de equipamiento en el cuarto de baño. Ni siquiera una miserable toalla. Bien es verdad que se supone que no debes ducharte, puesto que ninguno de los dos días que estuve allí alojado conseguí que saliera agua caliente. La seguridad brilla por su ausencia y los ruidos son insoportables, puesto que no existe la mínima insonorización. En todo momento decidí llevar todas mis cosas de valor encima, ya que nunca me fie de volver a la habitación y que hubiera desaparecido algo. Al no existir recepción, ni tan siquiera haces checkout, en el mejor de los casos dejas la llave en la habitación al marcharte y cruzas los dedos para que a nadie se le ocurra volver ahí. Con el número de opiniones negativas y lo lamentable de este antro Hoteles.com debería replantearse sacarlo de su oferta ya que, aunque sea muy económico, la experiencia es tan nefasta que puede lastrar la visita a Budapest, una ciudad bellísima. Sinceramente, busca otro hotel. I had the misfortune to read the opinions of Hoteles.com after making my reservation at Galilei, unforgivable. What I found is what should not be a hotel. In fact, it is not. There are 4 rooms, a restaurant is leasing and sublet to the guests. There is no type of service or reception, and how they should be aware that people might make critical you need to pay before they even give you the room. The room, dirty, dilapidated beds and worse, without any equipment in the bathroom. Even a miserable towel. It is true 詳情

"Hotell Budapest-Centralt"
Hotellet kan fungera om man är inställd på vad man får. Eftersom det inte finns en reception utan bara en restaurang fungerar inte tidig och sen ankomst utan man måste komma när restaurangen är öppen. När man väl fått nyckel och betalat ser man inte till hotellpersonalen mera. Man får ingen städning, det som ecventuellt tar slut på rummet som tex toapapper […] får man fixa själv och man tar själv hand om sin nyckel. Detta låter inget vidare men det utmärkta läget och priset gör att det ändå blir bra om man bara är förberedd. 詳情
"galilei hotel - I would call it hostel"
We stayed at this hotel one week and nobody cleaned our room not even once. There was not TV, internet connection nor hair dryer. The reception service was very limited, we had to carry our key with us all the time. There was not possibiltiy for breakfast either. It is located on the upstairs of a pub and the noise was well heard in our room. We had […] to ask for clean towels and buy the toilet paper ourselves. We had to take garbage out ourselves and when we left it in the corridor somebody took it there two days after. I would maybe stay at this hotel if it would cost less euros night but now it is overpriced for the quality they give. 詳情
