Calangute used to be the famous hippie hangout during the 60s and 70s. Calangute Beach, 15 km (nine miles) north of Panaji, is called the “Queen of Beaches” for its unique beauty. Calangute makes an ideal beach site if you want to indulge in watersport activities such as parasailing, waterskiing, and windsurfing. The Kerkar Art Complex and the St. Alex Church are major highlights in this area. At Calangute beach you can spend the day lazing under the sun and enjoy the evenings savoring locally caught and prepared seafood. Several mid-range to value restaurants and cafes offer tasty local and international cuisine. The bars in the vicinity cater to a mixture of tourists and host a wide variety of music.

The Hotel itself was ok, our stay would have been satisfactory if the following didn't occur: 700AUS was stolen from our safe while it was locked and we were out sight seeing. When reported to the hotel staff, they were blaze about it but said they would give us the key log - this took 3 days for them to produce. It wasnt until we angrily demanded a […] copy they then produced it (within 5 minutes). It had clearly been altered. They would not help us further and wouldnt even offer an apology let alone any type of compensation. The customer service was a shameful digrace, I would recommend staying somewhere else. 詳情

My Stay in Riviera has been fabulous, the rooms are large and spacious, ambience is good, the breakfast was excellent... they have 3 in house restaurants.... "Flame" being the best... The staff is nice and friendly... Only thing is it is a bit away from Baga Beach. around 3 kms so u cannot walk down there, u need to get a Scooty as taxi's are very expensive... They […] have inhouse facilities of taxi's and scooty for hire... Overall I would say go there for their rooms... they are amazing.. We were given the pool side view which was even more better... 詳情

Rooms were quite torn. But the worst was the bad smell. Pobably came from the damp air. Had to wash all clothes immediately after the trip.
