The room I stayed in had a strong mold-like odor. The cost far exceeded the general quality of the Redwood Motel.

FYI - This is my first negative hotel review *ever* - but my experience was so negative I felt it was my responsibility to warn other travelers of this travesty. I know when you're shopping on price you don't expect luxury, but at any price point simple cleanliness is a reasonable expectation. Put simply, the Redwood Motel was a filthy dump. The ancient, […] industrial grade carpet had manifestly not been vacuumed (much less actually cleaned) for ages. The bedding (which should have been relegated to the dust rag bin years ago) was literally covered with bits of detritus (my partner slept fully clothed atop the sheets). Spiders and flying insects had made a comfortable home for themselves in the room. The "furnishings" were along the lines of what you'd see on the sidewalk for trash collection and the bathroom fittings were ancient (1950s vintage is an approximate guess) and broken. The bathroom linoleum floor was gritty, the shower stall darkened with dirt and/or mildew. Two tiny pieces of brittle bath soap constitute the bathroom "amenities." The bath "towels" were inferior to those at my gym - more like large sheets of surgical gauze. The alleged "WI-Fi" network was invisible to our phones. When you honestly consider the merits of sleeping in your car versus staying in your motel room you know you've hit accommodation rock bottom. I wouldn't stay at this place for free and don't say you weren't warned if you decide to save a few bucks to stay there. AVOID! AVOID! 詳情

Expedia should delete this hotel from its list. No heat or hot water the first night. After we changed rooms the next day, the second room had a bad odor. Very poor experience.

It was AWFUL!! The room stunk, I slept on top of the covers because I didn't think the bed was clean, there was no toilet paper... I can go on. There's a for sale sign in front of the place and it looks like they've given up. Way overpriced for what I got, but it was the only place available. Avoid like the plague!!!
