convenient and easy. early check-in a plus. breakfast is OK

The room was very nice for the neighborhood and price, granite counter tops and shower. flat panel TV, etc... breakfast was sparse and they have no business services (e.g. guest printer). Overall very convenient and would recommend.

We loved it, the rooms were nicer than we anticipated going though Hotel.com. Requested a room with a bath tub and got so much more. The marble vanity, indoor refrigerator, nice armoire and the bed was very comfortable. We would stay here again

This is a quiet and well maintained motel in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to the LA Equestrian Center where I was working and was very reasonably priced. I will stay there again when I have reason to be at the LA Equestrian Center.

We stayed a couple of nights at this Inn during the business trip in Burbank. The staffs at the reception desk were very pleasant, the room was nice & clean and the most importantly - the bed was comfortable. The little dent of this Inn's amenity is a weak WiFi connection, but the staff brought a hardwire for my laptop as soon as we notified the concern […] at the front desk. Without much fanfare or bravado, this comfortable motel sits behind a 1950's style coffee shop on Olive Avenue. You wouldn't pay much attention to it while driving by. This is a basic "Motel" and a bit dated. The location was good for what I needed. The managers were very nice and helpful. The Wi fi worked great and so did the wall mounted T.V. They provide free juice, Danish and coffee/tea. Lot's of free parking. I liked it better than the Safari which is also located in the same area and on this site.

The reviews I had read previously about the Portofino Inn were very accurate. The room itself is surprisingly very nice, even has crown molding in addition to the granite bathroom (with nice quality soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion) and flatscreen tv. Good bed. The complimentary breakfast is very typical; HOWEVER, the COFFEE is FANTASTIC. It is brewed […] one cup at a time so is always fresh and of good quality (husband is very picky about his coffee and he was IMPRESSED). There were the typical big city noises - occasional sirens, trucks - but nothing unusually obnoxious. The motel is conveniently located. Overall, a nice experience. We will stay there again. 詳情

The room had been recently redone, but I have a feeling that won't last. The room is priced high for the surrounding area (Victory & Olive, in Burbank). At least the restaurant there is a good greasy spoon, and inexpensive to boot.

First, let it be known. This isn't as much a hotel as it is a Motel. But, don't get me wrong, it is a very well maintained motel. I was impressed with it's cleanliness and with the fact that the room was up to date. Too many times, you get a motel room and you feel like you've went back in time. There was a flat screen TV, a microwave, small fridge, […] etc. The bath tub/shower area was new, not some old tile and grout set up from the '60's. As a hotel, it wouldn't rate as well - no gym, room service, etc. But as a motel, top notch. 詳情

Quiet part of Burbank, close to Downtown, remodeled rooms.. but the carpet was a bit gross and the comforter smelled like it had been in a smoking room. Almost...

The Portofino Inn in Burbank is a real find - makes me wish I had to spend more time in Burbank! The outside of the building looks like the typical nondescript motel, but the moment you enter the room you're in a high-class world. The room, in size, decoration and amenities, was fabulous! Stylish and comfy like any Westin or Grand Hyatt.... The location […] is also very convenient - we walked about 1/2 mile to a very lively downtown (San Fernando street or ave) with tons of restaurants, bars, stores. Overall this hotel was mediocre at best. While one of the better prices in the area, the hotel was very standard and nothing to write home about. The breakfast area was small with only two little tables meaning you'll have to share with strangers. Biggest complaint in this hotel is that I had a meeting with a client in the area for 4 days, unfortunately […] things didn't work out after the 1st day, and I had to check out that morning; however, the hotel said that Hotels.com wouldn't let them refund my money. Upon calling Hotels.com they said that it was up to the owner's discretion, called him, and he refused to return ANY portion. So I was forced to pay for 3 nights which I wasn't even there and the owner just shifted blame when in reality he was the one who decided. I really do not appreciate dishonesty, and I was sorry to see that. Bottom line: Hotel was mediocre at best, location isn't as great as you would hope; but, the owner was dishonest in trying to place blame on Hotels.com and therefore I would recommend staying away from this hotel. 詳情

This hotel really exceeded my expectations. I needed a place near the Burbank airport but I didn't want the noise of an "airport hotel". The Portofino Hotel was a delightful surprise. I chose to stay there due to it's proximity to the Burbank Airport. It is located near Interstate 5 just a few exits from the airport. The room was clean with a very modern design. The front desk staff was very nice. Parking was great. Overall a nice experience. I would definately stay there again.

Motel is conveniently located to all studios and downtown Burbank (on other side of I5 off Olive). Pool has been filled in. Owner extremely helpful. Frank's restaurant, located in front of the motel, was a great deal ($4.50 b-fast special until 11:00) and seemed to be where the locals went for b-fast. We really enjoyed the abundance of mom-and-pop type […] ethnic restaurants located nearby including a wonderful Cuban restaurant about two miles away called Guantamera Restaurant (had live music too). I liked the room and the staff was great, I was a little concerned about the turn from the highway into the drive of the hotel, It was easy to miss and kind of blind when getting out.

We end up in this hotel due to issues with our original reservation in the Comfort Inn near Universal. Our family was planning to spend the night near Universal Studios for a visit the next day. Therefore stayin near this location was critical for us. Hotels.com directed us to the Portofino Inn. The exteriors of the hotel are not impressive. Typical […] two-story room building were you can park outside near your room. However, the room was clean and look completely new and comfortable. My family had a good rest after all the stress for the failed reservation. Continental breakfast next morning was average but good and I notice there is a small restaurant next the hotel were you can get a hot breakfast for a reasonable price. Driving to Universal Studios is about 5 minutes and met our expectations. We had a nice day in our viit to the Studios. 詳情

From the look of the Portafino Motel from the outside, I thought I knew exactly what to expect - and was amazed at what I found when I opened the door to my room. This place has a 4-star interior. I booked this hotel for the price and location (both great). I read the reviews, but took them with a grain of salt. All I needed was a clean place to sleep […] and shower - work would eat up the bulk of each day & night. I was certainly surprised to find the quality of room that the Portafino greeted me with. I frequently stay at 3 and 4 star hotels all over the world. This room was certainly at the 4-star level for cleanliness and comfort - (might subtract 1/2 point for flaky wireless). This unassuming hotel accommodated this family of 4 in plush room. The room was a surprise given this motel style hotel is near a busy corner in Burbank. Beds were dreamy, bathroom had been freshly remodeled, the room was clean and safe. Free cold breakfast too!

Good quality rooms. Good price. Neighborhood a little non-descript SoCal, but nice hotel.

Lækkert værelse, der bliver fyldt op med lækker creme /shampoe hver dag. Dejligt rent bade værelse, morgen mad er ok , det er den bedste vi har stødt på alle hotellerne vi har besøgt på vores tur. Der er gratis iskold juice og kaffe hele dagen.

This motel was OK, very nice and helpful people working there. Only thing is that the WiFi didn't work properly, had to stand outside the room to get reception.
