It's tough to try and find a half-decent room for cheaps. This Rodeway was surprizingly good. The room was clean. The flat screen TV was clear and had a wide variety of channels. The bed was good (though it could have been a bit firmer). Some drawbacks: The "continental breakfast" was weak, but, for another $5.00, you can go into the Quality Inn section […] and have a full breakfast. Someone parked in front of my room,...with a truck,...and it was loud., especially at 6:00am. And, right around 5:00am, there is a freight train nearby that blows its horn. Overall, if it weren't for the train and the truck, I'd almost give this hotel 5 stars. Next time, I'll try and stay on the second floor! 詳情

Continental breakfast is almost non-existent! There is not even milk being offered and juice cut off sharply at 9am. Wifi signal is close to non-existent as well and connection is very very poor.

What a great surprise! The hotel looked a little old from the outside but the room was updated and very clean. Desk staff was extra helpful. I was able to print my airport check-in and boarding pass from their lobby computer with the airline website already bookmarked! The free shuttle was super. good for who money is tailed stay .

Just completed my second four-night business stay here in the last three months. Room was clean and well-maintained. Staff friendly. Motel remodeling activity during the day. Neighborhood is basic commercial/industrial but quiet and only 15 minutes down Sandy Blvd to downtown, 10 minutes up I205 to the airport. I have stayed at this hotel twice in 6 months, both times were riddled with construction issues. First it was the parking lots that were difficult to navigate as they were torn up and on this occassion, it was the office and breakfast room. Both were in regular rooms. Also, they decided not to replace the hair dryers on the Rodeway Inn side after they […] painted and remodeled. What a surprise the next morning before going to the airport (with wet hair) in 40 degree temps. They did have one at the office which is some distance from the Rodeway side but could not bring it to the room as they did not have enough staff. Great Location, close to the MAX. Bed was extremely comfortable. The Airport shuttle was really convenient. The breakfast was nice, but lacked any sort of protein. The shower head was really low, but it was still possible to take a shower. Overall, the location and ease of transportation to and from the city made this an excellent place to stay.

This hotel was OK. I thought that the heater was not working, but turns out you just have to let it run for a while and eventually your room will get warm. I have stayed at this location several times now and have have always found the rooms very clean and the staff very helpful. My only complaint this trip was the heat was turned on in my room (not by me -- the maid, maybe) and when I got to the room at 11 PM, it was 85 degrees and stuffy. I just turned the fan on instead and the room was comfortable […] within half an hour. I was on a whirlwind, 24 hour trip from Southern Oregon to Portland. I flew up at 9AM, stopped by the hotel and, as always, they had a room I could check into early. Not the room with a king bed that I reserved, but a room with two double beds instead. It was just me on the trip so that did not bother me at all. I got everything done I flew to Portland to do, returned to the hotel and was once again amazed on how quiet it is for being wedged between a freeway and 2 busy roads AND close to the airport. I hear more noise from the outside pool than I do from planes and cars. The room was nice. They are in the middle of a remodel so the lobby was "closed for repairs" and the temporary lobby was a converted room. Breakfast was the standard fare for them. Biscuits and Gravy, waffles, lots of cereal, yogurt and muffin choices. The free shuttle to the airport at 7 AM was a quick 5 minute drive. i would stay there again. 詳情

Parts of the hotel are currently under renovation. Had a good room and the price was right. Good shuttle service to the airport. Clean rooms and adequately furnished. Comfortable beds. Recommended if you want a hotel near the airport.

small comfortable rooms,very friendly staff, located right next to transit center with red line train and many buses, 3 stops from airport but hotel has free shuttle thats faster about 20 min train ride to city center much to see and do in portland very basic breakfast

Staff is great, but rooms are small, noisy and uncomfortable. I'm only 5'5" tall and shower head and sink counter was way too low for me. I can't imagine a big or tall person being comfortable with these conditions. Bed was so soft it was weird, not good for the back. Pillows were old and gross. While not the best of places I have stayed, it served our purposes well, we needed to be at the airport by 5 AM and the staff made sure we were there in time!! The price was right.

This hotel is currently being renovated so expect a bit of noise during the day but it is very quiet at night (which is what counts anyhow) and convenient. this hotel was convenient for a late night arrival at the airport -- shuttle service was prompt with pick up. The hotel is right off the highway (noisy) and is run down. No elevators. Construction was going on with attached half of buidling so perhaps they are upgrading. The front desk people were very pleasant. The room that I stayed in was clean, […] but very run down. Good if kamoricon is in the same place.

and location we enjoyed this one night stay before flying out the following day. The room had a funky smell, but the beds were very comfortable. You could barely hear the road noise as it's right next to the 205. Hopefully things will improve once the renovations are completed.

We had a great experience with the lobby staff. They were young energeitc people who really cared about our comfort, and were very sociable. The continental breakfast was well setup and the hostess was very pleasant and kept the place really clean.

Very reasonable price for such a nice, well-located motel.

As soon as we entered the room we needed to call the lobby about a burn out lamp and found out that the phone did not work. Using my cell I called the lobby and asked them to fix both and she said ok. About an hour later I called again and was told it would be taken care of. We left the next morning and neither problem was fixed and what was worse, […] they didn't seem to care. Once we got to Seattle we stayed at an Econo Lodge and I called the lobby about a minor inconvenience and not 5 minutes later I had someone at the room. Guess where I am staying next time??? 詳情

I left a message on the questionnaire at the hotel really nice that you have breakfast provided for some of the travelers ............... do you realize how many people in the US can not eat wheat ???? all but your oranges and juice where wheat products. You did not even have the corn based cereals, rice chex, rice krisppies and such. Then about 30% […] of the population is lactose intolerant . Check the stats. Subway and many restaurants are going gluten free for the gluten intolerant and celiacs people. If you did this and advertised it, you would be hitting a part of the market that you have lost from the over 50 crowd and the allergy sensitive people. The stay was as expected. The bed was a bit too hard and pillows were too high for our liking. Breakfast was adequate and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

we took this hotel to pre flight to other country. the room is good big and comfort but with not Microoven or fridge (inportant to familys), free shuttle to the air port. mice breakfast (averege+).

Beds were comfortable, Good service, kids loved the cereal thanks for great stay !!

I needed to stay overnight near the airport. chose the rodeway because of good reviews. I wasn't disappointed. clean and functional with very good service. Front desk is very nice and rides to the airport are convenient and friendly.

I don't get some of the negative posts other than the people must be expecting 4 star accommodations for 1 star price. This hotel has a wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. It was clean, quiet, and he access for the surrounding area is hard to beat. This was our second time at this location, only we were in the Quality Inn side the first time. The […] only difference I noted was the lack of a fridge and microwave, which the Quality Inn side had, but I wasn't planning on living here. If you only need a place to sleep overnight while in transit through Portland Airport, Rodeway Inn is a great choice. It's not a five-star hotel, so don't expect anything fancy. Yet it's conveniently located with airport shuttle, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and breakfast. For the price you pay and the function it serves, this is a good deal.

Excellent hotel...! Comfortable bed, clean room, nice service and very good breakfast! Allot of the construction is finished and the pool is opened. Strongly recommended and we will use this hotel on each of our visits!

However, a few other things to note, the hotel is near the airport so it is about a 20-30 minute drive through less than desirable neighborhoods, to downtown Portland. If that doesn't bother you, this is a great choice for the price. The hotel itself is not in a rough area, its just near the airport so there is nothing to do by the hotel. Everything was great except the bed, it was way to soft, woke up aching, and it was a hard drive back to Seattle.

My wife and I stayed here one night and we were incredibly pleased with the hotel, especially considering the price we paid! Even though it was obvious that there was extensive remodeling being done, we weren't inconvenienced at all. The service was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the continental breakfast was tasty.

For the price, this is a decent place to stay a night or two or three, as I did. It is in a convenient location for catching the freeways as well as Sandy Blvd. and all it's food and beer options. On arrival the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The room was clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. We had a solid sleep as the room was quiet, dark and a good temperature. There was a lot of options for a continental breakfast too!

The hotel room was very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We were disappointed in the free breakfast there wasn't much to eat - the biscuits were all gone and you cannot eat sausage gravy by itself at 8:30 in the morning! - or any time. Also, too much unfinished construction right on the property made it unsightly.
