Posh hotels and a good selection of mid-range restaurants can be found in this area bordering Ginza’s northwest side. Sights in themselves, hotels include the New Otani complex, featuring a garden that was once owned by a Tokugawa regent, and ANA Hotel Tokyo, which has skyline views rivaling those of Tokyo Tower.

"赤坂Monterey - 可以吃到很多拉麵"
整體而言,是個物超所值的飯店,唯一需改善的是剛進去時的煙味.
"Very clean hotel and wonderful staff"
Everyone spoke English here which was great for me. The lobby is very cute and the room was super clean. I don't know what else you could ask for. It was 3 blocks away from the Subway but it was pretty close to the highway so the neighborhood is really only walkable in one direction. It is an area where people work, so there wasn't much nightlife, but […] I didn't mind going to Shibuya and then coming back home to a quiet street. 詳情
"Clean, comfy hotel"
The room is small yet clean and comfortable. It even has a humidifier in the room. Hotel is well maintained. It is 10 minutes walk from the subway station. You an easily catch a taxi at the front door. With the price I paid, I couldn't ask for more.
"Very nice and clean"
The hotel is very well maintained and absolutely clean. However, the room was very small. I wish there was a big hotel sign outside so that one can spot it from far away. We had some difficulties finding the right exit and were somewhat uncertain whether we were going in the right direction. So, here is how to get to the hotel: Take Exit A at subway […] station Akasaka Mitsuke, when on street level, walk straight forward along Aoyama Dori. Go past Doutour (?) coffee shop and Lawson (convenience store). The hotel is a very short distance before a police station. 詳情
"Okay Hotel"
It is a okay std. Hotel, with a 5 min. walking distance to Tokyo Metro Line: Akasaka-mitsuke
"Monterey Akasaka - Decent but not great..."
When staying at this hotel do not expect a 5 star hotel with the trimmings, but a decent city hotel in a good location. The main pro's are the location (450m from the Metro and within reasonable distance of Roppongi, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku and Ginza districts), the price (currently good value for Tokyo) and the clenliness. The main con's are […] the lack of Wifi (pretty poor in this day and age) and limited concierge capability (the staff try to assist and will book the restaurants etc. that you want but are limited in their relevant knowledge). Overall this is a decent hotel if you're planning a city break and are price/location sensitive...but don't expect the world. 詳情
"Clean, Comfortable but small room"
The hotel is very well maintained and the room was very clean. Unfortunately it was very small - although perhaps average for Tokyo hotels. Had some trouble finding the right exit at the subway station. The hotel does not have any big sign, which did not make it easier for us to find it. Over all, a very pleasant stay.

"Hotel Monterey Akasaka"
It was very small room for the family but very good location!
"Hotel Montery Akasaka"
A nice cosy hotel close to a subway station and many restaurants! The area of the hotel is a very nice "off-the-main-pulse" location, but still very much active at any time of the day. As usual in Tokyo, a lot of convenience stores are within a couple of minutes at the most. The room was small, but well it is Tokyo after all, and it was actually within […] normal standards for that city! 詳情
"A quite good hotel"
I thought it was a quite good hotel. Other hotels I've stayed in Tokyo are typically the size of a storage closet and there isn't enough space to turn around in the bathroom. Compared to that, my room was somewhat larger than I initially expected (still small though compared to hotels in other cities). Free wired internet in the room was a plus. The […] closet was a bit too small, which may be a problem with people with lots of clothes, but other than that, I really liked my room. The hotel itself looked relatively new, with nice decor throughout. It was located about 5 minutes from the nearest subway station, and I could catch a subway train to go to places like Tokyo station, Shibuya, and Harajuku without a transfer. The hotel was in Akasaka, which is a relatively nice, quiet area of Tokyo. Near the subway station, there were some restaurants, bars, and other businesses. So considering all these factors, I would consider staying at this place again if I have a chance to go to Tokyo again. 詳情
"one small but cozy hotel for couples"
everything i need in a small room~ clean and cozy hotel in the quiet area~ no wi-fi . there are a lots of restaurants around the hotel and just take a few minutes walk to the subway.
"Hotel Monterey"
Enjoyed my stay, well located for my requirements, would recommend as good price especially for Japan.
"Great luxury hotel with reasonably-priced rooms"
The cheaper rooms are fairly small, but they are bigger than those in a Japanese business hotel, and are comfortable for a couple. Very well appointed, the rooms and common areas are beautiful. Akasaka-mitsuke is a great area to be in for food and drinks, and it's cheap and convenient to get to other parts of the city via the nearby subway lines. There […] was a musty smell in the room, in sharp contract to its near-new appearance. Leaving the air conditioning and air filter on all day seemed to clear it up a bit, but the first night was a bit uncomfortable. We didn't bother complaining, so not sure if it was just our room, or if other rooms are affected as well. 詳情
"Perfect for an American visiting for a short trip"
I had only 3 days in Tokyo. I figured I wouldn't be in my hotel much so I just needed a place that was close to transportation and was comfortable (and nice) to come back to late at night. Hotel Monterey Akasaka was the perfect place. The lobby and floors all look very modern. The rooms are quite small (but all I needed was a bed and free internet […] anyway). Transportation (the Akasaka-Mitsuke station) is not even a 5 minute walk and is connected to 4 lines. The receptionists all spoke good english and gave me great suggestions. For the money (on the cheap side) this place was well worth it. I highly recommend staying here if you're exploring Tokyo and need a great spot to stay for a few days. 詳情
"Good hotel but not close not touring"
This is a very nice hotel, especially for the rate. However, the rooms are VERY small, it is not close for sightseeing and tour buses do not pick up from the hotel.

"Great hotel"
This hotel is excellent. I booked a room with two beds and it wasn't too small. Staff was friendly and helpful, but not very proficient with English. Airport limousine bus drops at end of street at Excel hotel and it's about a 10 minute walk from Excel hotel to Hotel Monterey. As it's up an incline, best to take cab from Excel hotel. Metro station is […] about 5 minute walk. Akasuka is an upscale area with good restaurants and shops. Hotel Monterey across from Buddhist Shrine and home of Japan prince and princess. I would stay at Hotel Monterey again. 詳情
"Wonderful living experience!!"
Clear and high-class service in my traveling experience!! Near big road but quiet at night. Comfortable room and convenient to walk to subway station.
"Great service and good location"
The subway station is about a 10-15min walk away and is conveniently located on the Tokyo Metro Ginza line. The staff was fluent in english and friendly and the hotel provided discounted daily/two day subway passes on the Tokyo Metro line. This is my 3rd time in Tokyo and the hotel washroom has been the largest by far. I liked location due to a straightforward […] subway station to get on/off vs. staying at busier places such as Shinjuku where it is easier to get lost. 詳情

"Pro Business Hotel (Not tourist friendly)"
The hotel was no where near any JR stations (I was travelling on JR pass). Therefore, I had to fork out additional cash for the train tickets for Tokyo Metro just to reach the hotel. The hotel is smack in the middle of Akasaka-Mitsuke Station and Aoyama both of which are 10 minutes walk away. In particular, hotel patrons would need to climb up slope […] just to reach the hotel. It is particularly difficult when you are pulling luggages from the subway stations. In terms of service, the hotel staff wasn't particularly friendly compared to two other hotels I stayed in previously. Patrons are also prohibited from eating snacks in the hotel lobby because it is deemed unsightly to the hotel staff. The only plus point about the hotel is that it is situated near various embassies and Akasaka Palace. As such there is substantial police and security presence near the vicinity of the hotel. As such it is safer than districts such as Shinjuku and Roponggi. 詳情
"Hotel Monterey"
Great location short walk to the subway convenient to the lines that will take you most of the key sites. Nice quiet neighborhood, good place to get away from crowds. Unfortunately no wifi, but found some just outside the door. Also, Starbucks and other coffee shops down the street and area with lots of restaurants.
"Very nice experience and comfortable hotel"
The hotel was very conveniently located. We were able to check in much earlier at 11am although official check in time was 3pm. The staff behind the front counter and the chambermaids were all very friendly and always have a smile on their faces and greet the guests. The room was really comfortable and the room arrangement and the bathroom arrangement […] also maximize the limited space (typical of Japanese hotels) but the rooms here have everything you will need and even provide free internet (cabled). i would certainly recommend this hotel to other friends or stay here again when I visit Tokyo in future 詳情
"Ok if you want cheap and cheerful for a few nights"
Check in was fine, greeted by a French member of staff. We checked in late which wasn't an issue. Hotel is small but very busy. Location is great for business visitors and also ok if you plan to visit Ginza and Roopongi. Station is not far and there are coffee shops and convience stores nearby. Room is very small and compact. We stayed in Hamzoman before […] and the price was 10 pounds more a night for a bigger room, so disappointed here. 詳情

"Comfortable hotel"
Hotel is conveniently located on the Hibiya metro line which is accessible from Tokyo Station and is near to Shibuya and Roppongi. Rooms are slightly bigger than the average Tokyo hotel. Only drawback is the 10 min walk uphill to reach the hotel.
"Hotel Monterey Akasaka in Tokyo"
The hotel feels brand new, very clean, not much space but very functional as do most of the other japanese hotels. The staffs were helpful and speak some english. The location is pretty convenient, tho not as close to the train station as i would have hope for (about 5 blocks)

"Hotel Monterey Asakasa - clean and nice"
I had a semi twim room booked. When I got there, they upgraded it to a full twin. The staff at reception had not problem speaking English. It was perfect for one person. The hotel is near the subway and very clean. Would have been a little tight if there were two people staying in the room. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

"Nicely appointed hotel"
Right across from temple, and imperial guesthouse, and aston martin dealership! Would stay again .
"Hotel Monterey Akasaka"
Very good service, very clean room, very reasonable price, very good location.
"The hotel in Akasaka- in quiet business area."
This hotel itself is an average hotel, the room is bigger than regular hotel room in Japan- we had 2 twin beds, so It is enough room for my husband and I, the good thing is they have free internet service (plug-in, not Wi-Fi), they also have hot drinking water dispenser in the room that you can heat up drinking water for coffee and tea (coffee are expensive […] in Japan, even the daily brew, so bring some instant kind with you). Bath room are clean and have everything- from shaver, tooth brush, comb to hair clips. But the carpet has stain that even caught my husband's attention (usually he doesn't really care for those small details). And the people work there hardly speak any English, so it is hard to ask any question, there is no help of any kind. To us, there is quite a distance to walk to subway station, specially you have to carry all your suitcases with you, or in the cold winter night. But it does have a lot restaurants between the hotel and subway station, also this is very high end, safe neighborhood as my Japanese friend told me. I wish the hotel can be close to the subway station, and if their carpet can look cleaner, other than that, it is good hotel to stay. 詳情

"Very convenient"
Conveniently located, in the rather posh and quiet business neighborhood of Akasaka. A lot of restaurants and bars down the road at about 5 min walking distance. Subway station at 6-7 min walking distance with easy access to Shibuya and Ginza. The rooms are small but cosy, very clean and well-equipped. Good service.
"Clean and quiet"
I stayed here for 5 nights. The soundproofing is great- I never heard any other guests or outside street noise. The AC worked, important as I was there in mid-July. The room was small by US standards, but I did not feel overly cramped. The room was very clean and neat with modern decor. Bed was comfy with buckwheat pillows and they provided cotton pajamas. […] The neighborhood isn't anything exciting being mostly businesses but it is relatively close to a subway stop and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The staff was very polite and helpful. Overall a good place to unwind after a day of exploring the city. 詳情
"Very Happy with Hotel Stay"
We were very, very pleased with our stay at the Monterey Akasaka Hotel in Tokyo. Very reasonable rate for the generous service and gracious attitude of the helpful customer minded hotel staff. Close walk from nearby subway station. Lots and lots of restaurants, shopping and entertainment nearby, and then again, there's the nearby subway if you want […] to venture out. The view was gorgeous too, overlooking a park area with more of the Tokyo skyline beyond. Very, very enjoyable stay at this property. Highly recommended!!! A+++ 詳情
"I wish I had a better view"
The room, the bathroom, the hotel, all that was great. I have gotten accustomed to having nice views of Tokyo when staying there, but overall I preferred this hotel over several others I stayed in the past few years. I loved the attention to detail, everything in the room was coordinated. Even though the room may be perceived as small by some westerners, […] it was very comfortable. I also enjoy Akasaka, and you are just minutes walking away from subway, great food, and fun. 詳情

"very good!!"
