The condos are perfect in location, somethings did not work but the office was on top of them once we called, they let us checking in 3 hours early. we wanted to cook hamburgers on the grill and the office pulled their grill out and even had it warmed up when I went do to cook on it. everything was wheelchair accessable and this made it perfect since […] we had 1 person in our group in a wheel chair, she could get to the slope side and all shops and food with no help, the condo we were in had to small door openings but the showers by the heated pool had shower seats for her to use. it was a wonderful time had by all. we will be back, perfect skiing for all levels of skiers. 詳情

Very nice place. Highly recommended. Take the elevator to the ground floor, walk out the door, and you are at the lift!

Great in every way -- friendly staff, nice views from condo, convenient --- excellent!

The Studio is tiny. The table is fixed to the murphy bed frame so it consumes the room (even when the bed it stashed away). We had little success getting the "green" (unseasoned) logs to light even with the package of fire starters. There was no humidifier in the room. Reasonable price for waking 100 ft from the room and getting on a lift. Recommend this place to anyone that likes to be outdoors and somewhat secluded!!!

Purgatory Village Condos was a great place to stay. I was there for two nights in December. The room/studio was small with a fold out bed and a couch. There was a small kitchenette with two burners and all the other basics. There was a fire place and a balcony overlooking the village common area. This facility has seen some ware and tare but is pleasant for a short stay. The sink had no stopper, the plumbing was slow. The room service (clean up) was minimal. We did not spend much time in the room but it was pleasant enough. If you like a hard bed you will love this place.

What an awesome place; service was great, lots of things to do, the view of the mountains were amazing. We definitely recommend a long weekend at Purgatory Village Condos. We also thought Hotel.com service was great as well. thanks.

We planned to drive to Silverton & Ouray the next day, so thought I was booking a room in Durango. Turns out I booked a room at the Purgatory Ski Resort which put us 25 miles closer to Silverton. Room had a view of the ski lift/mountain. Bed was very comfy. One problem was we were in a condo's lock-out, so no frig or microwave. Would still stay here, […] just know to pack things in ice. 詳情

Nice room, 26 miles away from Durango and nothing nearby to get groceries, snacks, etc. The one store on there property closes early, the one down the street, a gas station closes at about 8PM. The elevator has a mind of it's own, it does not work. A manager told me that the elevators are very tempermental-----thank you very muuuuuch!! We tried to get […] downstairs and had to use the stairs, this is not easy with luggage. Also, it is hard to find your way around....it is like a maze some computer geek dreamed up. The television signal kept going down...my advise, stay away, stay in town where you will average out because of free breakfast. We stayed at the Ramada in Durango and were completely satisfied, a far cry from the nightmare we went through in Purgatory. And the Ramada had Tempedic beds an awesome way to sleep, plus breakfast was included. 詳情

This hotel was 25 minutes from Durango where all of the restaurants and activities are. It is a ski resort with summer activites so there were too many kids. No air conditioning in the hotel so it was musty. We opened the window up and turned on the fan to cool it off to sleep. Next visit we will pay a little more and stay in Durango.

Very nice hotel/condo. It is up in the mountians at the Durango Mountain ski resort. Nice views and nice room. No air conditioning in the condo rooms but at this elevation it shouldn't be a problem. About 1/2 way between Durango and Silverton.

This is a ski lodge so has a certain oddness about it in the summer. It was difficult to find and to find the registration. The staff was nice and my reservation was waiting. Our room was nicely furnished but did not have a balcony as advertised nor did the ac work. All in all a pretty location with a good staff but for an overnighter I would recommend staying in Durango vs driving the extra miles to come here. 詳情

There needs to be a bigger varity of places to eat and that open before 8:00 a.m. for breakfast.

We arrived early and asked if there was a chance of an early check in, the counter person sarcastically mentioned that check in is at 4 pm. I asked if they could call me when the room was ready since we would need to find a place to spend our time until it was ready. (this resort is not really near anything convenient) We finally arrived back at the […] resort at 5:15 pm, they never called us about our room being ready. We were made to wait while a maintenance man informed the front desk of some repairs that were being made throughout the resort even though we were the paying guests. When we went to our room we found that it was very "worn out", spots on the walls, garbage disposal not working, burn marks all over the rug in front of the fireplace, etc...and no view whatsoever, we spent our time on the balcony with a view of the building across the way The dining table was so sticky with something that we were unable to use it for anything since everything you placed on the table became stuck even after I tried to wash it off. There was no bathtub as was indicated (we were traveling with a 3 year old who does not like showers). The bedding was obviously not clean. There were suspicious stains and spots on the comforter and pillow shams. Our room was also hot. Being from Arizona we went to Colorado to cool off. The outside air temp was great but we began perspiring the minute we entered the room we had to use a box fan throughout our stay. The toilet/shower room was tiny. Upon check out we were given a credit card bill that was substantially less than what we had already paid online for the room. I questioned it because we had already been charged for the room and was then told that the bill we were handed was the one for hotels.com, the amount they were charged, and we should not have received a copy of that one. So we received nothing at check out except the advice that we check our credit card to make sure nothing additional was charged to our card. 詳情

I was on a budget and found the Durango Mountain Resort to be a great get-away for me and my son. We went in the summer and had access to a GORGEOUS heated outdoor pool and hot tub, the summer adventure activities offerered at the resort and tons of (free) fresh mountain air and views. We stayed here for two nights at the end of June, and it was quiet and comfortable. For us, it was also very luxurious. We had booked a one-bedroom condo, and when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see they'd upgraded us, free of charge, to a two-bedroom condo. This included a huge master suite with Jacuzzi and king bed, a second bedroom with […] two twin beds and separate bath, as well as full kitchen, living room, dining room and outdoor deck. We traveled with our two small children, so we brought most of our own food, and the fully-stocked kitchen was perfect for our needs. The fireplace was wonderful (wood, starter and matches provided), and it was just an all-around great place to stay. Very clean and organized, and we loved that there was a washer and dryer in the condo, which we did make use of during our stay. The pool in the complex is terrific; big towels are provided. We did not participate, but there were many activities available (for extra charge) that kids and adults alike could enjoy; it was fun to watch the bungee trampoline from our room's windows. We would recommend this resort highly! We were so happy with our experience there. The only drawback, which was slight for us, is that the resort is fairly far from Durango proper (about 25 minutes' drive), which would be an issue if we had more plans in town. But we were happy to spend most of our time hiking around the resort area, swimming, and relaxing in our room. Great place for couples or families; we hope to go back some day! 詳情

It is an oversold property. Rooms are tiny and in bad shape. Yes, you are right on the slopes of Purgatory and that is great, but it did not feel good to have to go into such a tight room after a day of ski. They are well kept and cleaning service is defficient. Not wort the price I paid.

The complex is in need of updating. Age is beginning to show. Our condo, Kendall room 235, needs a new bed and sofa sleeper. The dryer didn't work, which was a real inconvenience. The condo was poorly stocked with utensils.

The proximity to the mountain was perfect. We were definitely ski in/out, our preference for a ski vacation, and walkable to a few shops and restaurants. Purgatory Mountain Village could use one or two more real restaurants, not a burger sandwich place, for those staying slopeside as Durango is a bit of a drive, 30-40 minutes, after a long ski day and […] a soak in the hot tub. Purgy's Restaurant, walkable from our room, turns into a surprisingly good fine dining establishment at 6:00 p.m. Creekside Italian Restaurant needs a new chef. Don't know about their pizzas-- don't try pizzas anywhere being from Chicago -- but their pasta dishes taste like they're using a bottled sauce on overdone pasta. Our room was comfortable for the four nights/three days we were there, But it would have been nice if the cleaning staff put queen sized sheets that fit the Murphy bed instead of something that obviously would not even stretch over the sides of the bed. The spa facility on the rooftop of the Kendall building had beautiful views and was a perfect end to a great ski day. We had the mountain almost to ourselves. It was uncrowded, no lift lines. Over all a great experience. We will definitely return for a longer stay. 詳情

The 1 bedroomed, 1 sofa bed apartment was perfect for our family of 3. Very well equipped kitchen and a supply of logs for the fire. Really good gym as well as an outdoor hot tub. Ski in-out lodge with cross country skiing nearby. Only 25 miles from Silverton and Durango.

hotel was listed as being in durango,co when it was actually 20 miles outside of town. not a convenient location. hotel was very nice. clean and comfortable

The location of the lodge is about halfway between Durango and Silverton. There isn't a whole lot near that, but if you go during ski season, the lodge has shops and restaurants available. I went in the off season and enjoy the less crowded time. However, that mean that not all the shops and dining facilities were open. Great time in the Durango/Silverton area. Hotel was nice, only issue was that the walls/doors are not sound proof, so we heard a lot of noise from the people in the room next to us and from any activity in the hallway near the room.

I saw in my itinerary that check in was 4pm. I called and asked if there was a way to get in earlier and I was told by a young woman that I "should" be able to, but had to call again in the morning of the reservation. I asked why she said that she could not garantee the check-in time. When I said then that may not work for me, I had to call back in […] the morning. Talked to a young man and he said it was entered into the computer and it was no problem to have an earlier check-in. I wondered why I had to call twice. When I arrived I asked where my friends wedding was going to be, they told me, but failed to give me a day pass that guests of the wedding were supposed to receive and was not even told about it. They gave me a folder with information in it, and said everything I needed was in there, told me parking was outside the building. After lugging my bags up to the room, I found there was a parking pass in the folder that could have saved me the long haul. Overall not the greatest service I have had. 詳情

It is a great place. loved it. we were meeting up with fam who were in a differnt location so it was a little awakard. it would be nice if every one could aford this one.

The noise from the other guest was very annoying. They got up at 5am and left and it was so loud that there was no way to fall back asleep. The facility was big enough that they could have spread out the guests.

this was out first trip during the summer. Normally we come to ski and stay at other places on the mountain. We were very happy with everything. Would stay here again.

Led to believe this property is "close to" Durango, we were disappointed to learn it';s 20-30 minutes out of town. With no air conditioning and an unusually hot day, we had no alternative but to sleep with windows open, . . . and an external pump noise that kept us from getting much sleep. I was skeptical after reading other reviews and because of the distance to nearby Durango. But the Hotel was just what we wanted. And the price was less than half what we'd pay in Durango. Yes, the hotel had no air conditioning. But when temps dropped to 53 at night in early August we had the windows closed and we slept under the blankets. The room […] was quiet, the bed comfy and the fridge was huge and useful. We even had a Lazyboy recliner! Everything you'd need was right there in Purgatory. But the local food was wow expensive -- but Durango was only 25 minutes away on a gorgeous, easy drive. In Durango you could get most any food for all price tolerances. You could even buy food at the markets and bring them back to your fridge at Purgatory. Once back though it was difficult to leave with those mouth-open, awesome views! Would I go back? The hotel is located within walking distance of Durango Mountain Ski area. It is about a 30 minute drive to Durango or Silverton. Rooms are comfortable but the cleaning service was not so thorough. A beautiful place to stay and a good base to seeing the Alpine Loop. The grounds are extremely beautiful. The only issue was that the unit we stayed in was separated by a thin door to the unit next door and was not sound proof. You could see into the next unit through the space surrounding the door. This led to being able to hear everything going on […] in the unit next door and caused problems when trying to go to sleep at night. There is a new part and an old part of purgatory resort. we got the old part, the new is much more expencive. Nice but a little on the older side. every thing worked for the most part, and it was mostly clean, we could here the people in the room next door and the people outside as we were on the ground level. the lighting is poor. Very difficult to find check-in desk and room, no hair dryer in condo and none available- bring your own

During the Summer months there is not much open around the resort . There was no place to eat dinner after 6 pm. There was no table or chairs in the room, so if you wanted to sit, you are out of luck. You had to go to the 6th floor to get ice. You have to drive down the road a ways to find a restaurant. The drive there was hard as we were coming from […] Denver. The road was hairy and someone went off the cliff when we were driving on it. On a good note the bed was huge.
